*Swiss Internatonal Airlines is a partner of CX since it has joined CX's Asia Miles for many years (former Swissair is also an Asia Miles partner)
Any chance to see Cathay Pacific go back to Zurich?

Any chance to see Cathay Pacific go back to Zurich?
CX partner*, Swiss International Airlines, is getting closer with Star Alliance and will soon end its close relationship with oneworld members, is there any chance to see Cathay Pacific resume Hong Kong-Zurich services and compete with Swiss?

Swiss Int'l may decide to maintain relationship with Cathay Pacific despite the fact that they are joining Star. Let me give you an example, U.S.Airways, a member of Star, has relationship with Qantas, an oneworld member (on milage program etc). In fact, LH and CX are partners in the cargo area, so I don't see Swiss must end the partnership with CX.
Even if they departed, I'm not sure Cathay will resume Zurich immediately. They may decide to code-share with BA, like many other European destinations that CX has, like they dropped Manchester and instead code-shared with BA btw MAN and LHR and connect to CX's LHR-HKG route. In Europe, CX may start Moscow (for sure, first), Munich or Milan before Zurich with their own plane, in my opinion.
