Then there's that rumor (LOL) that Jetair would like some flights to FLORIDA next winter. And it's unlikely that American's service from MIA to BRU will start this year...
And as I said earlier, let's be careful with rumors...

VFlies

I also don't think that AA will fly from MIA to BRU this year. When I checked the AA site for the new destinations and the new seasonal destinations, nothing mentioned of a flight from MIA to BRU.

Why would they keep a plane hidden from us in some dark hanger in a foreign country, when they ought to get it here asap and start testing? TUB would not be secret about it, they would put it on the news and enjoy the free publicity!

That's also my opinion. If a Belgian airline doing well with perhaps new destinations and new aircraft they should pride of it. For a Belgian airline it's not so obvious.

So TUI if you have a second B767 let us now and when we can expect to see this bird.

The new winterbrochures for Jetair are now in the store and on internet. There are no new destinations only the frequentie to Caïro is increased with 1 flight.
I don't know what the reason is to add another B767 to the fleet. Or can it be to give some rest to the first one.

Thomas Cook, Jetair's biggest competitor in Belgium, will fly to Florida with Martinair. Tourism towards the U.S. seems to be back on track again, so Florida could well be a new destination. I guess.

So, what about Jetair? Have they also plans in that direction or not?

I think that it is now clear that Tui needed very badly the second B767.
With the summer season at 100% you can get some problems if you needed a back-up airplane.
I think that Tui Airlines Belgium knows that also.

But the story around the 2nd aircraft, could it be that they are bounded caused by the TUI group?

I think Arkefly from the Netherlands will work together with TUB next year. Both a part of the TUI group. Arkefly has 4 B767 and at this moment, operating ICA flight and within europe. However the 4 th B767 has leased out to Vietnam last spring and operates now on ACMI base flights for third parties.

Why two airlines in two small neighbour countries operating to the some ICA destinations? I think there are many financial en operational advantages for such a contruction. And legally/permitwise no problem to organise

We will see

However, leasing a plane just for back-up isn't economical. Moreover as they can ask Arkefly to do some flights (just like what BelgiumExel did with HollandExel planes and vice versa). Thus I reckon TUI will do what snowbird already thinks.

Where did you have this information from? For the moment it says nothing because the regs are not know for the moment. And what about the type.

Could you, when you post something, give more information.
