Interested in an IVAO fly-inn with all luchtzak members?
hi,
i was wondering how many of the luchtzak members fly (or at least try to 8) ) online at the IVAO network. If there is interest in it, i would like to organise a get-together once on the IVAO network with some luchtzak members, so we could fly together once.
thanks!

quite some interest, very nice.
now what flight are you guys (and girl) interested in? Personally i always fly shorter flights, like (from EBBR) to EHAM, EGLL, EDDL ...
Are you interested in such a flight? Or do you rather fly further (Mediterranean for example)?

are you interested in a EBBR-EHAM flight? This is a very short flight, but always fun. Its the flight that most newbies do several times to learn (because you can always ask something in Dutch to ATC). Now flyng to Schiphol is always fun, and always a bit of an adventure. They have good ATC, and theres always someone online. Because of Schiphols 6 runways (so 12 possibilities!), you never know in front which runway you will get. Some approaches are also quite spectacular, with a lot of 180° turns. Its a flight that never gets boring for me.
Interested? If not, please suggest your own flight.

Right now Vatsim has about 600 pilots online and IVAO about 640. Looks like Vatsim is strong in North America and Northern/Eastern Europe + UK and IVAO in southern europe (including Belgium and France) and /south eastern part of Europe.
South America seems equally Vatsim/IVAO territory while Australia seems more Vatsim and Africa more IVAO. The far east seems pretty "dead" in both Vatsim and IVAO.
Belgium is currently both in Vatsim and IVAO staffed.
I think ATC/pilot wise a merger would be great ... but maybe hard to implement managment wise due to maybe different managing cultures.

EBBR-EHAM sounds fine to me. I have a selection of aircraft in my collection which would be suitable for this run, and they are all in various airline liveries like Sabena, Sobelair, SNBA, Lufthansa, BA, Austrian, Flybe...Could be an interesting "meet" withall different liveries flying the same route
Sabena and Sobelair - gone but never forgotten.

actually i was asking for the BRU-AMS routing, but everyone if free of course to return to BRU afterwards!Comet wrote:Return to BRU is fine by me (if that's what you were asking)
When can we do this? I think might be best to do this on a Tuesday, since that is Belgium Online day (well, in theory its on thursdays but they are changing it to Tuesdays. AMS is also staffed normally on Tuesdays.
