Hello

It might be too EXPENSIVE to paint it. But they can paint it when it is in the hangar for maintenance before entering service with SNBA , or they could do it right AFTER the livery and wait several days before entering service if possible. This could be possible if the livery is on schedule and when the scheduled flights start a week later or something? Just an Idea. Would like at least ONE SNBA 330 in new colors! :P

Best regards: Yannick ;)

isn't the paintwork to be remade each 5 years?

The aircrafts arrived in 2002 so in this paintsheme until 2007 max.

So 730 times sleeping before to see the new snba on these aircraft.

Unless if there are leasing a 4th A330 i think it will be in the new.

Was the fourth aircraft not scheduled for September? After all new painted or not, most important is that SNBA get a fourth long haul aircraft. We would see what they gonne do with that bird, expanding in Africa: big change: it's a huge marked and not so much competition. Or using it for other long haul destinations.

a 4th A330 will joigned the SNBA fleet
I heard the same a few days ago from a purser of SNBA. He said that the fourth A330 is "certain", although he didn't specify a date. What he also told me: the a330's will stay in this colourscheme, this is the final one (according to him). The interior revamp of the A330's has been postponed for budgettary reasons, but when it will be done, there will be apparently totally lie flat seats (beds) in Business class (but business class would get a little bit smaller, for a bigger economy class).

There were very concrete plans for 2 747 combi's before, to be leased from Malasian (just saying what that person said, didn't check this), but (quoting this person) "for some dark reason this deal didn't went through".

That's the info i have, let's hope it is true.

Greets,

Pieter

Thanks for the update. Certainly we have to wait what comes. I think we all have some contacts everywhere who knows something.

But 2 B 747 back in Belgium would be nice. But according to you the plans are now in the trash.
It reminds me at the time that Sabena flews with his two B 747. That was big time.

Strange isn't it, Peter, Malaysian (MH) is preciseliy where the the ex-Sabena's fly.
Find out here what 747 they where talking about.
Look what MH is doing with its fleet.

Isn't it strange that like some reply's ago a purser say's that the fourth A330 is certain, but they don't know for what kind of destinations. It's like buying a new a car and you don't know if you gone drive with it.

Also this remark: the two B747 of former Sabena, is one of them not stored in the US? The other one I don't know where it is for the moment. But I don't think that those two B747 are flying for Malaysian.

Sabena had 4 B747s: two 747-100 (OO-SGA and B) and later 2 747-300s (OO-SGC and D)

I think there is a little missuderstanding in this topic about the Sabena B747-300's.
The Sabena B747-300 are not flying with Malaysian. One the OO-SGD is flying for Air Atlanta Iclandic as a B747-300F(TF-ARY) and the other one is
OO-SGC is somewhere in the Californian dessert (as I am right) as N3439F.
But there are some former Sabena aircrafts with Malaysian. The 3 A330-200 of Sabena that went to VG airlines are flying for Malaysian. OO-SFQ/R and S are flying as 9M-MKX/Y/W.

So maybe there was a missunderstanding in this topic and are 2 A332 of Malaysian coming back to Belgium instead of 2 B747-300's?

I don't understand this, everyone knows that SNBA has 3 A330's. So keep it that way and make it not confused for people who don't know what kind of airplanes SNBA has.

Will not happen again ! :D
