Aum Sweet Aum.
It doesn't look good to me. Jet Airways received approval from the government of India to wet lease an A340 to Gulf air from now till October 24, 2005.
So, I don't think that we can expect an aircraft for that date at Bru.
Nothing known about the progress of administration about the first flight to the USA.

Re: DEL-LHR
The application is still pending with US govt, it going thro lot of hoops. Here is the link http://dms.dot.gov/search/document.cfm? ... etid=21136Starvmg wrote:Yeah....now for the flights to BRU and the USA.....![]()
any news on that yet????????????????/
I think it will be a long way to get the permission to fly to the USA. It are interesting files of the DOT. But it's a slow admin. machine.
The last mentioned date given by Jet Airways was to start at the end of October when they are increasing the flights to LHR. Some weeks ago Jet don't want give start dates anymore. When I was reading the files of Jet Airways itselfs, I could read behind the lines that there was a doubt to start the route to Newark. But it was written as "we have still interest to fly to Newark". In the meantime they have wet-leased one of the A340 or was it a A330, sorry don't know anymore, till October 24.
Wait and see and crossed our fingers.

United and Jet Airways Increase Travel Options To and From India
http://www.united.com/press/detail/0,68 ... -1,00.html
CHICAGO, -- United Airlines and Jet Airways of India today announced plans for a new codeshare agreement that enables both airlines to sell seats on certain Jet Airways and United flights -- providing customers of both airlines with more connection options, Mileage Plus® opportunities and automated through check-in on travel to and from India.
Jet Airways launches its first European service, between Mumbai (formerly known as Bombay) and London, in late May. Beginning in October 2005, United would code share on the Jet Airways-operated London-Mumbai flight and on flights from Mumbai to other cities in India. In turn, Jet Airways would code share on United-operated service from London to the United States. This codeshare agreement is subject to U.S. and Indian government approvals and would be the first international code share offered by a privately owned Indian airline.
----
no jet (9W) schedules are loaded in www.united.com as of yet is that still just because of the roadblock on US operations as govt approvals are mentioned. Why does this need to be approved when United is operating the USA-LHR sector?
