A new LCC, Air Turquoise, based in Reims has been created.
They operates routes to Marseille, Nice and Bordeaux with their single aircraft, a ATR 42-500.

Well at the moment it is quite a good idea as the Eastern French TGV is not completed. So going from Reims to Bordeaux, Marseille or Nice can take from 6 to 10 hours with the normal train.
Indeed, in the future, their biggest challenge will be to compete with the TGV who will pass near Reims. The SNCF will surely make good connections in Paris or even connect the eastern TGV network the the southern one. (see http://www.estrepublicain.fr/extra/tgv- ... gement.gif
