Also a nice "assistance" to cash-strapped Air Berlin ;)

The website of BRU shows curious informations : Lomé flight 278 ( not Accra ) was scheduled for arriving at 23h10 yesterday night !!!!!! Diverted today at 9h45 !!!! Two flights tomorrow from Accra Lomé.
I suppose aircraft stuck in Lomé and flight to YYZ cancelled...one time more ! Sadness...

An EgyptAir Cargo Airbus A300B4 performing flight MS-521 from Ostend (Belgium) to Cairo (Egypt), landed on Cairo's runway 23C when the crew reported smoke in the cockpit originating from one of the panels in the cockpit. Emergency services responded and identified a faulty control panel as source of the smoke.

260 passengers en route to Brussels blocked in New York

Return disrupted for the Walloon Minister of Women's Rights Isabelle Simonis, and 250 other passengers. Their Brussels Airlines plane, which was scheduled to take off at 19:15 local time on 15 March (00:15 Belgian time 16 March), was the victim of a major technical problem.

After 4 hours of attempts by a technician to repair the problem, while the passengers were already on board, they were asked to leave the aircraft because it was unable to fly and the staff had exceeded their authorised working time.

Some passengers found it really bad: their previous day's plane had already been cancelled due to the blizzard that struck Manhattan and its surrounding area on Tuesday.

Everyone was taken to hotels, sometimes 1 hour away, and rebooked to other Star Alliance flights, sometimes more than 24 hours after the scheduled departure time.

"The technicians are still working all night to try to solve the breakdown, but there is no guarantee that the aircraft will be able to leave," a crew member said.

Among the passengers, therefore, the minister but also her team, and 41 young Jewish Americans who had to go to Tel Aviv to participate in a religious seminar.

A friend said me a week ago that there was a medical emergency aboard Ryanair FR166 Berlin Schönefeld - Brussels on Thursday the 6th of March.
This friend said me that the plane was over between Eindhoven and Maastricht when that's happened.
So,the solution was to continue to Brussels.
Landing without any other problem.

BRU 23/03/2017

Post by sn26567 »

Is anybody aware of an incident that happened on 23/03/2017 around 11:00 LT? Actually a Vueling A320 waited too long to take off from 07R, which caused a British Airways to make a go-around. This incident is said to be similar to the serious incident of 5 October 2016, but Belgocontrol says such incidents are frequent and don't involve any risk.

I'm not aware of what happened on that particular day but it is one of the action groups that uses 'incidents' to get their way. They don't want rwy 01 used as an arrival runway so they inflate everything they can into an 'incident'.

The action group uses every go around on rwy 01 to 'prove' that using that rwy is 'dangerous'. As if go arounds don't happen on other rwys *sigh*.

Their strategy of attacking air traffic controllers because they do what they are supposed to do (i.e.: ensure the safety of operations) is becoming libellous.

Abnormalities in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2016

Not a good day for SN206.
Delays build-up aggravated at DKR by leaving 3h30 late but now holding at AFI.

LPV at EBBR this morning. Is this Wamos Air not eqpd/qual for CAT III?
