South African Air Force 737-700

Post by ILS25L »

Goodevening,
According to Dutch colleague-spotter Marcel Van den Bergh (www.spottersunited.com), we might expect a very nice visitor next monday 15.11 :

"President Mbeki zal voordat hij Nederland op 17 en 18 november bezoekt
Belgie bezoeken. Hij arriveert maandagmiddag op Brussel Melsbroek met naar alle waarschijnlijkheid Boeing 737-700 ZS-RSA van de South African Air Force"

This would be a very nice visitor for BRU.
I don't think you will see this one that much in Europe so for the once that have the time to go to the airport.
A very good hunt for this baby.

Best Regards,
Yvo

I'm wondering how many stops she has to make if she comes directly from Cape Town for example. I'm sure it will be at least two fuel stops before arriving in Brussels.

ZS-RSA flew direct from Waterkloof AFB (it's home base) near Pretoria, South Africa direct to BRU

thats the whole reason they took the BBJ

Wauw, I didn't know that it had such a range. I just saw from the Boeing site that with 8 passangers she has a range of 6200 nmi.

The range in km:

With 8 passengers: 11.482 km
With 25 passengers: 10.992 km
With 50 passengers: 9.936 km

So they can fly it with 50 passengers.
