Pictures BRU 30/10/2004

Post by Avro »

Went quickly to BRU this afternoon for half an hour or so. I didn't saw a lot of planes. :( In fact only 7. Since I didn't have my bionoculars with me I have a few requests...

The only plane I logged was:
Kallita B747-122F N712CK (T/O rnwy 25R)

Request:

LH CRJ T/O rnwy 25R @ 17h13
TP A320 T/O rnwy 25R @ 17h16
SK MD80 T/O rnwy 25R @ 17h35
AZ MD82 landing rnwy 25R @ 17h47

Yesterday evening I wrote BRU 30/10/04 and today I find BRU 21/09/04

Anyway, I hope you didn't look up the regs for september ...

Nice pics Chris.

And let's hope the Ruslan will be back into the air very soon. It's a sad sight to see here standing out there doing nothing :(

Best Regards,
Yvo

Both Avro and BruBiac: very nice pictures. You are very lucky Brubiac to be able to enter the apron, also nice view you have. I went to BRU today with my bike, just for fun , although ... . Around 14.30 I was lost in the fields between the 25L and the 25L with as result: full of mod. Then I arrived at 127 bis, but of course, only the 25R was in use so up to the 25R. I was surprised by all the new buildings and that new road. Actually a lot of changed during the 5 years I didn't went to BRU. I went up the wall and had a nice view. Security passed by, but they didn't stop. But of course, I saw 5 planes taking off and 3 landing , and that was it. They decided to take the 02 and the 07L. So up to the 02, but that spot was way better years ago. Then, you were able to spot from against the fence. So because I couldn't see anything, back to de ILS of the 25L to see them taking off. I was surprised to see they have blocked that road with a wooden gate. I saw three "interesting" planes: a "Star", never heard of them, the smoky Egypt Air above my head and 4 747's at Brucargo: 2 Singapores, 1 Cathay I think and an all whit 747 with US reg. So at 16.45 I went back home. No pictures (no camera) and no regs, just this guys and girls.

@ avro

We don't move to the new tower. We will stay in the old buidling just beneath the ATC. The new tower is only for Belgocontrol and we are still BIAC. The only thing we should normally have is a back-up room somewhere in the new one. In case of fire or something else that we can do or job.

@ blackhawk

thank you for your comments. I know I'm a bit lucky with my work

Hello Avro,

I noticed the name of your first photo .... OO-VJP_01.jpg.
Is that a new Virgin or is it OO-VEP ?

Thanks
