Re: Loop: Brussels Airlines' new frequent flyer programme

The value of one loop is 0,01€, according to the website.
Strange because they also mention 2000 loops (20€) equals a FREE return to Malaga...
Another detail: I have the impression loops are only credit after all segments of a booking have been flown.

Re: Easyjet in 2016

I did about 40 flights with easyJet this year, on the inbound 80% departed early or on time, 90% arrived in Bru ahead of schedule. 80% of the outbound flights left late. When you ask the crew for the reason of the delay, they say they don't know, but that it often happens in Bru and that the company...

Re: BRU Summer 2016: news, new routes, airlines

Yes it slowly solve the problem of the cancellation, one A330 does''t mean 7 weekly flight, for example this new A330 will 5 Toronto and 1 Kigali-entebbe so it mean that it will be a spare aircraft one day per week. When the 10th A330 will come, if SN open lagos-libreville or Mumbai 4 flight per we...

Re: Easyjet in 2016

EasyJet is not happy with the handling in Brussels. Aircraft often arrive early, but almost always leave late. These delays put pressure on the network and are translated into a cost. Furthermore easyJet wants to expand, but is short of aircraft. Choices have to made and the result is that several r...

Re: D R Congo will create an airline with Air France-KLM: Congo Airways

Lose debris has wreaked havoc with departing aircraft with the now defunct Korongo Airlines attributing its decision to cease operations on the damage its only aircraft - B737-300 OO-LTM (msn 25070) - sustained on take off from Mbuji Mayi in July this year. It was a good excuse. (off topic: I think...

Re: Jet Airways out of Brussels

Grant more traffic rights to the ME3? That's the last thing to do. OK, it would (maybe) compensate the departure of Jet Airways, but in favour of companies having low costs and high subsidies which will compete with European companies playing the game according to the rules. The Belgian Govt and Br...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

Member Tolipanebas has repeatedly stated on this forum that all SN short/medium haul pilots have Avro AND A319/320 rating; so, where is the problem? You probably misunderstood Tolipanebas, pilots are NOT dual rated Airbus-Avro. Brussels A is looking desperately for Airbus contractors for next summe...

Re: The "let us know Superfares" Topic !

Not only G3.
Travel agencies in Matonge offer minivan transfer to CDG as CDG-BRu-FIH is cheaper than BRU-FIH.
Many Dutch people travel to Antwerp or Düsseldorf to start their KLM trip as it is a lot cheaper than starting in Amsterdam.

Re: Jet Airways out of Brussels?

A bit puzzling: 9W is offering 10 % rebate this week-end on one-way and return flights from BRU to Delhi and Mumbai operated by 9W for travel up to June 15, 2016 . This would confirm the rumour that Jet will not disappear completely from Brussels, but will continue to fly from Mumbai or Delhi to Br...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

CxB, it is not rocket science.
If you read between the lines it's clear that BrusselsA will probably add an extra 330 to fill the Toronto gap when Jet leaves.

Re: Metrojet Airbus A321 - Kolavia EI-ETJ: plane crash Egypt

It has taken them some time to admit the evidence. And what did they believe? That ISIS would not target Russia because it is Russia? When did the evidence become available? Secret services had strong indications, but evidence only became available after traces of explosives were found on the wreck...

Re: Jet Airways out of Brussels?

Everything De Tijd wrote 2 weeks ago now turns out to be accurate, so 9W lied about their true intentions. It just took the labour union representative some time to accept the inconvenient truth. They couldn't tell the truth due to legal restrictions. Those, like De Tijd, who knew these legal oblig...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

The lack of a spare aircraft is indeed the problem. Operating a tight schedule with 8 aircraft is asking for trouble. SN should lease a spare aircraft, it would probably be cheaper than paying compensations and it would avoid a lot of bad publicity. Another problem of the old birds is the payload re...
