Re: Airline quality

@ Comet Good to see that you retain an open mind. As far as I recall you have not actually travelled on any " cheap crap" airlines (unless you mean BMI, BA et al) so you are not really in any position to criticise them or those who use them. Why not book a flight with one of them just to s...

Re: BRU 19/03/2009

4X-EKF is 73806F tied up back on 30/1/09 (or that was when I first picked it up - my DB already had it) on one of its early visits.

I see it is not yet on AIrframes.org which is a surprise.

Re: Transatlantic on 757-200 AA (Bus. class)

@ conti 764 Were Continental the first across the Atlantic with 757's? I recall American used to go into Manchester in the mid 1990's and perhaps into Glasgow and Edinburgh as well. I would suspect that there have been charter operators doing so too as I seem to remember Monarch 75's going to Florid...

@ Saratoga

Don't be annoyed. Just don't open that post if you are uninterested in movements. You have the choice!!!

ps abnormalities sounds like bodily disfunction. Perhaps unusual might be a better choice of word

Re: Contrail spotting January 2009

Brieky I am afraid that contrailwatcher is not necessarily correct in his assumption that AN124's don't use show up on SBS boxes. They absolutely do, but not on screen. ( I have had 7 different ones plus an AN225) Perhaps he only has access to an online SBS output where he cannot read the info panel...

Re: american flight attendants

@ Shanti In a word - seniority. The longer you work for the airline the more choice you get so all the old hands take the plum trips. All the young 'uns get short haul, multi-sector flights. If you prefer your flight attendants of tender years then I suggest you fly with the Middle eastern carriers ...

Anybody for the c/n of N74DK?
N74DK is a Thorp T.18 so I guess you must mean N740K which is a Gulf 4 c/n 1094

Re: BRU 22/09/2008

A bit confusing to one as simple as me - 2 Rutgers battling it out in a forum! I am not a controller but I understand that not all military flights have flight plans which show in the civil systems, although I am sure that it is known what they are up to. In any event it is an unwritten rule that no...

Re: LGG 09/09/2008 FedEx MD-11!

Nice to see a FedEx in Liege but of more interest , surely, is the Iranian registered Fokker 100. No doubt a test flight from Woensdrecht but certainly rarer than a FedEx MD. (unless of course you never go anywhere else)

Still the jargon! How many times has it been asked for posters to write the airline or airport name rather than the code. How difficult is it to write Jet Airways instead of 9W, especially ina post about Virgin???

Spotting at Brussels Airport

Has anyone else noticed the strange wording in this link http://www.brusselsairport.be/en/spottersvisitors/ My wife pointed this out to me and she has yet to show any inclination towards an interest in tin tubes. The myth that scanners affect aircraft instrumentation is just that. It may be illegal ...
