Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Now OO-TCV is in the pain shop @EMA ...
It seems they use the winter season (logic) to do more paintings and maintenance.
Some are 'in preparation' @BRU; not sure what that means since it is not necessarily the new planes (OO-TCH)
Are there maybe also adaptations to the interior?

Wow, from 2/w to 7/w?
I would have expected they would grow slowly, and increase the number of flights in different steps.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2024
Hi all, [Put it in this news item, sorry if wrong ...] Some news from the SN fleet (based on info from https://sites.google.com/view/europeanairlinefleets/bel : - OO-SNF which had the Amare color scheme is now in EMA for repaint. Re: BRU Summer 2024: news, new routes, airlines
2024 and 2025 will be interesting to follow. For this year, the prediction (not only prediction, but already confirmed seats/reservations, is to have 2 million pax more than in 2023. 2024 should end up with >25 million pax. Majority has to come via long haul and new long haul flights. If I got the ...

Re: BRU Winter 2023-2024: news, new routes, airlines
Hi guys, story saver While we lack precise information on this matter, it is confirmed that they are set to receive nine A350s by the initial quarter of 2024. This acquisition is poised to substantially enhance their capacity, particularly on routes to Europe. Not sure what you are talking about :(

Re: BRU Winter 2023-2024: news, new routes, airlines
BRU used to have many long haul carriers at the end of the nineties(VASP/China Eastern/Cubana/US airways/American to name a few) and before that even more BUT the Big 3 (EK/QR/EY) from the Middle East with their low fares and good service took every other competition away..And there is also the fac...

Hi Atlantis,
Where do you get that figure? I don't think 180 million is a correct figure ...
Cheers,
Danny

Re: Where will you fly in 2024?
Hi all, Will fly quite a lot next year although not all the details are known yet: Bilbao, Nice (2x), Chisinau (2x), Faro, New York (JFK)/Saint Lucia/Dominica, Johannesburg/Windhoek/Maputo, Vesterålen (via Bergen), Montreal, Tallinn, Singapore (direct flight BRU-SIN in business :D ), Graz (via Vienn...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2023
There isn’t any more space on the NEO, the opposite in fact, due to the lager bins, which are a nice addition, the NEO is a bit less spacious. Legroom is exactly the same. In terms of seating it depends where in the cabin you look (compared to SN's standard A320) - First row is the same - Then you ...

Re: Brussels Airport compared to other European airports
Hi all, Not so sure the number of inhabitants of the country itself is important. You need to compare catchment areas: BRU is not only the 11,5 million Belgian inhabitants (fairly well distributed around BRU), but also the Southern part of The Netherlands, Luxembourg, small part of Germany and (part...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2023
Over the past years they also evolved towards more direct flights (instead of triangle flights). Maybe they want to do that even more if they have an additional plane? But I guess some of the additional destinations will be rather European since the new A330 is already 'claimed' for starting Nairobi...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
One of the A319 is in the paint shop: OO-SSA ... D OO-SSA is back from the paint shop in East Midlands (EMA), now OO-SSB flew there for its paintjob (yesterday). Only 3 A319 left in the old livery. A bit strange since I thought 5 would leave the fleet to be replaced by the A320neo. Why repainting s...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
I love the extra large bins (experienced them when flying to Zurich on a similar A320neo).
It improves so much the boarding time ... I only hope pax will now not bring even more luggage
Regards,
Danny
