This and JetBlue's recent incident show how solid these landing gears are. In a way I find it reassuring :)

US Airways A350?

I didn't know US Airways had ordered the A350 but it appears in Airbus website among the customers.

Great report

I wish people would talk also a bit more about the airport itself.

Did you look Lisbon's airport?

The Embraer being much more recent I would suppose it may bit slightly safer but having said I doubt we can say the ATRs aren't anyway.

Tempelhof is my favourite airport. As far as I know it is the only airport where passengers disembark under a roof . Time between disembarkation and getting in a taxi is about 5 minutes. I had no idea 8O Thanks for telling this  For those who were as ignorant as I am, this is the best pic of ...

Boeing's move with 787 is brilliant. And while I believe the A380 is a nice succes, in the long run Boeing will sell so many 787 while the market for the A380 will be quiet as soon as most of the companies have got theirs. But I also think that Airbus should take a bit more time to make the A350 a b...

To come back to the subject, personally I hope they both win.

There is more than space in the market to have as many 787 as 350.

Unfortunately there are always accidents.

It is true the last ones have been particularly disastrous but I also believe that because of that the medias talk more about the minor incidents which would not get coverage in another moment.

I think commercially it is more interesting to sell 250 787 than to sell 10 hypotethic "new Concorde"

Seeing the success of the 787, it would be suicidal not to build the 350.

Why codeshare?

This is something I frankly don't understand... If it's to make the passenger believe a company can take you anywhere it is silly as you'll see it is not the case as soon as you enter the plane. If it's the result of an alliance between two companies, fine but why not codeshare all the flights of th...
