How will Boeing address the passenger evacuation requirements? I think that one of the original designs for the A380 consisted of two conventional fuselages side by side, this was rejected due to problems in meeting evacuation requirements.

There is also a serious contention that Emirates does not need the A380 it has on order.

Aviation expansion in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia recently closed its application process to issue operator licenses to two new airlines.

Does anyone have any information on who has applied for the licenses.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
