The A300-line is open for UPS A300F's. That is the last order, so they probably will close the line when the UPS freighters are finished.

I suggest that you send the approach shots to the airport authorities so they can help investing the cause of the incident.

They do indeed also do fuelstops in FRA, but the ones we get at EBOS are scheduled fuelstops. Greetz, CanonFreak The po...

I hope they have thought about that. I remember Hydro always took off with full fuel capacity to Lagos as the fuel is dirty expensive over there.

Wonder how a fully loaden B747-200 will depart to Lagos when it's +25°C in summer on a 8200feet long runway... guess they will switch to EBOS soon.

Hydro moved to BRU because they flew for DHL to Lagos. Sometimes up to 80% of their freight was DHL freight. During the last months they flew indeed a lot of Race Cargo freight and it was likely that they would have returned to OST.

I agree with Q707. Guess MK is flying most of the freight to Lagos and Western Africa out of OST.

It's official now. Hydro closed down for good.

Some crew members have found a job in the new company Island Express. Route structure for the ex SA 747SP's isn't clear at the moment but they will probably be registered in Sao Tome. Wonder if we will see them in Europe.

Got the info from the crew.

Some ex Hydro-crewmembers are busy setting up a new airline with two SP's (ex SA) and a 742F (probably ex LH). Can't post any further info.

It's not a replacement for Hydro, but a divertion from AMS i guess. There were two divertions from AMS at OST also (DAS-air and Kalitta).

Hydro ceased operations so we won't see any replacement unfortunately.
