The DC8........rarely see them in Europe now.....I thought there was something concerning the DC8 and noise regulations, or am I thinking of another type? Almost daily a dc-8-70 from DHL is coming to BRU. Also 3/4 times a week a dc-8-62 of MK is coming, partly on behalf of Hewa Bora. So, we can &qu...

First of all ugly & beauty is of course a very subjective matter. In my view, the stretched dc-8 looks quite elegant compared to most other stretched commercial planes. On the opposite f.e. the md-80 by all means looks the most horrible . And look @ those stretched 757s, 777s, 340s. :...

ex OO-SJO departed OST on August 6

Apparantly the old 707 tl-adj did get away from OST after 8 months of storage. But the aircraft didn't get far, as it had to make again an emergency landing, this time @ Reims (France). The aircraft "belonging to" Congolese rebellian leader Bemba did rise again controversy talks by Ostend ...

The only winglets that look nice r the one fitted on the 320 family. All other ones look like "dog-ears". Especially the 737's winglets r on top of this bad show. And the Russians copy it with their IL96 & Tu204  . My (aesthetic) point of view folks  . Just give me a clea...

Re: B707 prototype makes photo flight

About the pics: it seems that the prototype had few windows. Did they fear the same fatigue accidents as with the Comet? No André, i don't suppose. The main reason is allready mentionned earlier in my post: the purpose of this plane was only "testing" so no plans for entering it in commer...
