Re: A DIY-lesson 'flying for people with a fear of flying'
There's a Channel 4 documentary called "Fear of Flying" first broadcast in 2006. The documentary follows a group of people with a fear of flying who try to overcome their fear with the help of a specialist. One of the tricks they learn is to relax and in their minds go to a place where the...

Re: Largest jet order in aviation history
180 A320neo? Wow, that's big! It is roughly the equivalent of Lufthansa entire medium-haul fleet (A319-320-321, B737: altogether 175 units according to airfleets.net). According to the same website, IndiGo has currently "only" 34 A320... let's talk about massive expansion plans! :...

Re: American introduces new booking fee
So on the one hand American is introducing "happy hour" on their domestic and Caribbean routes called 5@5 where you pay $5 for an alcoholic beverage instead of $7 but on the other hand they are introducing a new reservation fee. I guess that should make up for the $2 discount.

Re: Aussies land crippled A330
I don't think I have ever seen less factual information on an incident than this one. One report was that the engine quit and they kept on for 4 hours as "it was rated for it". Thats insane. Others are both engine quit, apparently not true. Origination is listed as a fuel stop, where was ...

Re: another scandal with flight attendants
"The passenger told Vietnam Airlines’ representatives that, during his flight to Dong Hoi, the flight attendants had wandered around the cabin the whole time." As flight attendants sometimes do. It is their job after all. Anyway, why on earth would you walk around with 200 million VND (rou...

Hiya. Thanks for your report. Very nice pictures too. I twice had the privilege to jumpseat on DHL between BRU and LEJ. One of my best flight experiences ever.

Re: Security checks as transit pax
It seems it's normal procedure. I've flown to SGN a few times from BRU via FRA and BKK. I had a security check at FRA and then at BKK, although we were continuing on the same plane, we had to get off for refueling and go through another security check. Same story on the way back.

Re: Ryanair announces 4 new routes from East Midlands Airport
It's not MY text. I only copy the company's press releases... I know. It says so at the bottom: "Ryan Air press release". The comment wasn't directed at you personally. It's just a stupid thing for them to put in their press release. They over rate themselves. They don't even fly all over...

Re: Belgian Government: 1 A330 will replace the A310's
And once again, belgium is outsourcing instead of taking intern possibilities ! (see inside the country) Belgian companies had also respond to the bidding but, for political reasons probably, the decision was taken to take an airline flying Airbus and not Boeing ... yes you know, Belgium is in Euro...

Re: Cirrus Design and UND sued for bad Flight training
Oh that's a good one. So if I have a family member who gets killed in a car accident because of let's say thick fog I could sue the government or perhaps even the car manufacturer for inadequately training that family member on how to drive safely through fog. Now there's a thought. I suppose that i...

Re: Name VLM Airlines disappears
Every Flemish company is by definition a Belgian company, as Flanders is but an administrative region in Belgium (one with delusions of grandeur perhaps, but that's just a personal opinion). Still, sad to see them go. But not unexpected at all. Sorry, can't resist this one: and isn't every Belgian ...
