Re: Turkish boeing 787-9 business class AYT-IST
How long was taxi time after landing at IST? Seems your plane landed at the nearby terminal runway I landed 3x times so far at new IST on the far away runway and taxi time was 25 min! Flying BRU-IST this saturday and onto BKK, 2h connection time, affraid landing again on far away runway and no time ...

Re: Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 MAX crashes between Addis Ababa and Nairobi - impact on Boeing 737 MAX
Maye Boeing would have been better off if they designed the 737NG replacement from zero, but they didn't and now it's up to them to resolve these issues. I gues the MAX series will be the last 737... Guess not, still constructing Boeing 737 MAX 200 etc... The concept and the design of the 737 has b...

Re: Disappointed by Turkish Business product and in general!!!
I flew TK BKK-IST-BRU and return in biz two weeks ago and am fairly satisfied. I moved away from EY 5 years ago and now from QR. Although I consider QR to be the best re hard product they have been going down hill steadily over the last two years, cost cutting and cost cutting and cost cutting. I ha...

Re: Connecting in IST with TK flight to US...
10 hours of sleep if that is in economy, really? I have 2 BKK-BRU in J with TK, one this month, curious how it will go... Thinking of buying a BRU-YUL in Y with TK for this september, will give me *A status with M&S, not sure what mileage i will get flying AC or LX. I need 8k miles and TK will r...

Re: Attention passengers: new PNR/API legislation 01/01/2018: name on the ticket must be the correct ID-name
Indeed "airtrainer", a real issue is coming to many of us. And what if a difference gets detected during check in? I got a passport for my little one a few months ago (luckily before I bought an international ticket where passport and visa is needed) and they made a mistake in the translat...

Re: BRU Winter 2017-18: news, new routes, airlines
So no B777 from Qatar at BRU? Too bad, would be nice to see their B777 at BRU. Like i mentioned in my previous post, QR will use there B777-300ER on selected dates (QR195/196). Here they are: - 31 oct - 1, 2, 5, 7, 21, 23, 28 and 30 dec. After 15 feb till the end of the winterschedule, the B788 is ...

Re: News from Emirates (EK/UAE) 2017
I fly C, but you will never see me in a 2/3/2 config, no EK for me! EK also comes more expensive every time I book a ticket. I used to fly QR A380 ex BKK, heaven, but now they mostly fly 777 in 2/2/2, just acceptable. Next trip with my 7 years young daughter, thus 2/2/2 is fine for once, to BRU A359...

Re: Best/Worst food on a plane
Worst: an unnamable sandwich on Thai Smile a few weeks ago UTH-BKK on my way to BRU. No, i did not eat it, went to the bin after opening and smelling the thing. Best: to come next Saturday BRU-DOH-BKK on QR, never had a bad meal in J. Ramadan begins this Saturday, no alcohol in Doha, I will get my s...

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
Indeed, discovered the Pcard thing whilst posting my comment. Advised person picking me up to get one, but he needed to pickup someone else this morning (monday 1st May) thus had to pay 2x 2 eur for 2 1 minute pickup. I saw the drop-off area when leaving the airport, did not see any signs at arrival...

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
I am realy pissed-of because the 15 minutes free parking is no more. Seems a long walk to the drop-off/pick-up zone. I wll be arriving this morning with 40kg of bags and st my age I am nog gooing to wander beyond front park 1 to find where it is, nor the person picking me up. Thus the only solution ...

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
A police officer is a police officer. You make it sound like police are inside like chicken. When you have 20 to 1000 people queuing up outside, with 2 police men standing in front of the tent going "left or right" ..... it dont make it sounds like anything. Those are the facts That doesn...

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
The K&R system at BRU was simply not or too weakly policed most of the time and the obligation for drivers to remain at their car was not enforced. Exactly. I very much liked the K&R at BRU, as I equally like the YUL, BKK, AMS, UTH K&R, DMK is bad and BRU got down to the last spot since...

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
I also heard about face recognition cameras at the entrance of the airport building. The Kiss & Fly zone will not be re-instated at the place where the tents are now, because it is too close to the building. There is still a brain-storming on where and how to best arrange a Kiss & Fly area....

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
I still find the place a disgrace. Especially how to pick up an arriving passenger. Sad, I love flying in the A380.
Have a BKK-DOH booked early September.
Unfortunately QR dropped it's A380's to BKK from 3x to 1 daily.

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
Well I changed my 1 sept flight from BKK-AMS to BRU, landing BRU 2 sept around 07 am, mainly for convenience, will have someone pick me up probably inside P1. (was easier before the bombing, waited before Sheraton at K&R area) Flying out BRU 08 sept to LHR and YUL, landing back BRU 19 sept 14.40...
