For me, the my main issue with the 350 were the amazing claims that it was an all new unit that'd beat the pants off of the 787. I don't think boeing needs me to cheerlead their product but Airbus's claims seemed unrealistic.

Basically, I think the problems at Airbus are a shame. I'd love to see that huge, lumbering beast in the sky. I will also enjoy seeing the 747-8. I may even enjoy flying in them as long as airlines give me enough personal room.

I think you hit the nail on the head. The name of the game, in business, is to make money. If they can turn a profit with a, relatively, low expense upgrade, why not?

I think AirTran had the best program. After 3 flights, you get a free flight. You just save your boarding passes. I don't know if they still do that. It sure was easy.

I've never flown on a DC10 or Tristar so I couldn't say. My point is, I couldn't see much of a difference between a 320 and a 737. My impressions, that's all. I'm not saying there isn't one, just that I couldn't spot it.

I have no idea....I just said they'd try. The 787 is the top of the tech heap at the moment...I'm sure it'll be bested some time in the future.

Airbus isn't going anywhere. It wasn't very long ago that the same pundits who are writing obituaries for Airbus, were pounding nails in the coffin of Boeing.

The R&D has already been done on the 350...besides, since they're already conceding the #1 position to the 787, they're going to have to settle for #2, for now, and they know it.

I have to agree....it's a love it or hate it plane and I think it looks great. I have no idea how it flies or what it costs. I just like the way it looks.

When last I was there, (which was 3 years ago), it didn't look so much like upgrades as destruction. That place is a mess....worst major airport, that I've been to. A close #2 is Heathrow.

I'd give my left......er.....overs...(yah...that's it), for a nice cold Pilsner from Molson...
