Well, if it's a relief flight, which it could very well be, then maybe the load will permit only an initial climb to a lower FL, then as fuel is burnt a higher FL can be reached.

Thanks for the info and link to the belgian aircraft register, very useful.

Does anyone know what segment might use the BEL6C callsign? Over London westbound at FL300, it's either Dublin or some transatlantic destination...

Hi all,

does anyone know more about OO-DNX?

A virtual radar spotter reported a flight heading west towards London at FL300 with callsign BEL6C today. What's interesting is the Mode S code, hex 4419D8, which is normally assigned to Austria.

Another source reported this to be OO-DNX, unknown type ...

Reviving an oldish thread to add a few more infos about the missed approach of an AZ MD80, as I happened to be onboard that plane (AZ160 FCO-BRU). You can blame Filip for this, since he forwarded me an article from a newspaper telling this story... did not know this made it in the news!
