Re: Overbooking phenomena

It was always that way... even Transavia overbooks their flights...
And that sometimes leads to frustration and even anger.
A few weeks ago the police had to intervene on a Transavia flight to Malaga.

Yes, if they don't find enough volunteers they can appoint someone. However, I don't know how they ...

Re: SN long haul evening flights

I'm afraid there'll only be an evening wave once they go double dailyt to certain destinations... and since we're not even daily on a lot of destinations it ain't going to happen soon.

I think you'll first see an afternoon wave to non triangular West African destinations.

Re: SN long haul evening flights

If I remember well, SN had an evening rotation to JFK at 19:30 that came back around lunchtime the next day. It was technically connected to the NRT rotation, but also connected well to the afternoon wave of two flights to West Africa.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2026

Johannesburg is attractive on paper, but ultra-long haul with high competition from Gulf carriers makes it very hard to profit.

Many have tried, all have failed.

Stay away from JNB , especially with an A330, you need a beefy plane with high yields to make that work. Ask Air Belgium how a ...

Yes, we're pretty rich... but...

Belgians are VERY traditional in their holiday destinations... Costa Brava, Costa del Sol, Turkey, Tuscany and France (by car)...
Even when they visit the USA... no surprises: NYC (in summer!!!), Florida or the parks of the West-Coast.
