Hi, I am a Product Design student designing a new Economy Class (Y) seat for commercial aircraft. Hoping to gather more information from cabin crews like you.

Yeah those IFE boxes are annoying and they can get really huge!!! Any technical expert here that can offer some advice on this? Perhaps a slimer box or (better still) to be located somewhere else, for instance below the deck or to be part of the supporting structure.

Comet, I agree with you on this:
"Economy seats - Air New Zealand had those vile things with the "wings" at the side which dig into your head, so not very nice at all".

I think it's a standard on some 747-400s and those "wings" can be quite annoying especially when they're worned-out and the "wings ...
