I can assure you that AF delivered to Cargo B all the doc needed. I saw all the papers paletised at ORY (~8 cubic meters of papers).

The last 2 B747 COI (F-GITC and F-GITD - based at CDG) will be replaced by 2 B77W. These B747 are going to be first AF B747-400 to be withdrawn from service, in march 2009. I assume that the 2 B77W will be registered F-GSQQ and F-GSQW, leaving room for possible expansion (F-GSQZ).

Yes, AF uses COI* 77Ws for summer season (472 seats) to Nice and Corsica. The 77W replaces advantageously B747-400s formerly used on these routes.

The seven COI 77W regs are :
F-GSQN
F-GSQO
F-GSQP
F-GSQR
F-GSQS
F-GSQT
F-GSQX

Saw her today. Paintjob have been posponed a bit for an other plane to be painted (TF-AMI). Paintjob now completed, only regs have still to be added. Few mechanics things have to be fixed ...

First aircraft of Cargo B airlines will arrive soon in BRU. Normally it will be around the 16th July, if ofcourse the C-check + repainting is finished on time.

The aircraft is ex-AF Cargo and will arrive in full Cargo B ...

AFAIK, the world's record concerning the B747-400 density is still decerned to a french carrier: CRL operates B747-400s with 587 seats !!!
(and no, this is not for regional ops...)

Seems quite logical to me. This is the easy way to go, and the less expensive also. Transavia and KLM stick on B737NG, KLME&M beeing on the B737 MRO market as well, while AFI focuses on A320 MRO market. This way, they are not competing with each other. But it doesn't mean that the future ...

The 10 ILFC's B737 are for KLM.
