I think it was a mistake for Boeing to produce it. Being a former MD series, it didnt blend-in well with their products and it had very short range.

Is it that drinking before flights is spreading nowadays, or they are checking pilots more thoroughly?

Re: Herds of white elephants...

I try to avoid hugh aircraft because check-in line ups, boarding-deplaning takes more time, customs clearance can take forever (NRT, JFK, LHR to name a few), miss your flight at connection hubs (DXB, SIN, CDG, ORD to name a few) ... etc.
So your problem is not big aircraft, but bad organised ...

I don't understand how you can say this when you didn't even saw it in real or even didn't fly on it :x

It doesn't matter my ...

Some of the reasons for service termination are:
1- Western embassies in the middle east are giving less and less visas--tourist visas included-- to the locals mainly bescause of security concerns.
2- Unstable security situation forced business people to travel only when they MUST.

That's life. I remember that demand between 1974-1982 was so great, they could not keep up adding new flights. Ticket prices out of Saudi Arabis and the Gulf countries were the most expensive and in some instances, they used to run out of first class before economy. One thrid of the seats on SAUDIA ...

Hello everybody
This is my first day posting in this colorful & informative web site. I disagree with posting a poll about if KLM is going to buy such & such type of plane. It has no consequence, only KLM management decides on thtat. I agree with polls that ask for preferences.
