Re: Brussels Airlines in 2026
Looking at the orange space suits, it can't be anything else than Tintin in space.
Can't it be something else? Because otherwise there will be 2 Tintin logo jets! Or is the other one leaving the fleet sometime soon?
I believe OO-SNB (Rackham) won't stay in the fleet for much longer. It's ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2026
I don't see any update on the livery of SBG. Or am I wrong?
From what I can see; The upper AFT dots have been removed to make way for the "Member of Lufthansa Group" titles, and the registration (plus the flags) have been moved from between the AFT pax. doors and the THS, to under the AFT cabin ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2026
New Belgian icon will be revealed on the 12th of February according to flightlevel.be.
Looking forward to see it!
Which aircraft will be repainted?
I think only OO-SNJ is still wearing the "old" livery with the dotted b-tail?
Or will it be an A330? OO-SFD, SFF and SFG? Would be nice to see an ...

I've just seen at least two KLMs parked at the remote stands. A 777-300ER and an E195-E2.
An ITA A320 and Bulgaria Air CS300 are parked there as well.
A Garuda Indonesia 777-300ER is also present.

Also my appreciation for tangolima's tireless contributions!
G-VYGM A332 AirTanker came out of the Sabena hangar, all white with all titles removed. Came in from Brize Norton on 09NOV25, wearing JET2 titles. Currently doing some (final?) tests.
Also noticed 3 A320s of Air Arabia docked next to ...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future
First aircrafts for maintenance were expected in August / September. However no visible activity so far.
What I've heard is this (take this with a massive grain of salt):
Sabena Engineering is currently renting out Hangar 7 to the Belgian Defence for A400M maintenance, but the Belgian ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2025
I can now say that OO-SFH will not be finished for at least a few days still.
The NLG replacement has been completed (or at the very least nearly), but the new MLG installation has not started yet. Sabena Engineering has to wait for additional parts, as inspections have revealed corrosion ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2025
In the meantime, OO-SFH arrived at Sabena Engineering on 03SEP for both MLG and NLG replacement. Already two days later than originally planned, so we can expect this one to be out of action until sometime next week at least.
Afterwards it should be OO-SFJ's turn.
I can now say that OO ...

OO-SFG is finally back in business.
She is now planned to operate SN299 to ABJ this Saturday 06SEP.
Must have been something serious to keep her grounded since 12AUG.

Something wrong with SFG? It's been idle for 10 days.
It was supposed to get a nose landing gear replacement last week at Sabena Engineering, but some delays meant it wasn't completed within the scheduled timeframe. So it may still be waiting for that to be finished.
Seems further ...

Re: Air (None) Belgium in 2025
Not really big news, but OE-LFC in recent days has been reregistered to OO-LFC, with a Belgian flag covering up the Austrian one.
It was likely modified around the 16th of this month. Not sure if it's in the Belgian register already, but the visual changes have been made.
