Re: Brussels Airlines in 2026
Strange that nobody has an explanation. I will try I wild guess to attract answers : bad (LH) management (overall).
What about simple economics?
Brussels delivered in 2025 an EBIT of 1,7% from sales. Cost discipline would have been key regardless of any other evolution.
Several airlines are ...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU): Border control
The DUB experience would be worth implementing to bring some relief, but would only apply to flights to the USA (correct me if I am wrong).
At a time where travel to the US is slowing down for obvious reasons, I would not consider it a priority.
But better this than nothing.
For the staffing ...

On a slightly different note : would it not be better for SN to stick to an all AIrbus fleet ?

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
The legroom or seat pitch is determined by the airline not the manufacturer. I also prefer the A220 aircraft compared to the Embraer, but Embraer is quiet acceptable. However, Air Dolomiti is notorious for not its delays or not flying on time. The smaller A220 would be a nice addition to SN's fleet ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2026
I saw in the "bad" pub of SN on Facebook...3 flights to Paris CDG...it's a good growth...only for connection I know...When will it begin ?
Can't find anything related to that.
I never understood why they didn't choose Orly; it's so much easier to use. And closer to the city?
Orly is ...

Re: Lufthansa in 2025
There has been a lot of "talk" on this "Lufthansa in 2025" thread about the ME3 airlines. The latter compared to the vast majority of European airlines, imho based on experience too, is that they offer a better and more consistent in-flight service and catering. Their lounges are far better than ...

Could the presence of 7 (?) A321XL at ITA influnce/convince CS & Co. to seriously consider or even to buy such aircraft for other LH Group airlines ?

Re: SN long haul evening flights
An afternoon/evening wave is not possible imho bcs SN does not have the aircraft and thé transfer pax to create It. It is not on the big boss's radar who is more targeting AZ at the moment. However, an evening flight to NYC leaving BRU at 19:30 h would make sense, I think.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2025
Question is why Discover is still receiving A333 in 2026 and for SN it's postponed?
I would rather say that for SN is urgent seeing the difficulties thay have with their LH and the Africa hub.
I am certain of 3 things: SN is doing what it can! LH doesn't care at all and from a passenger point ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2026
Off topic, sorry, but ACMI airlines seem to do well. Air Baltic, Smartlynx, ASL, HiFly, EuroAtlantic just to name of few. Too bad, Air Belgium did not successfully manage to exploit this market. (parenthesis closed)

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2026
I am tempted to say that the A220-100 would be a welcome addition, but it does not seem to be in Mutti-Lufty's plan. I have the feeling they are more busy with the expansion of ITA anyway.

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
If the data is correct, the fabric new nr 6 A320neo OO-SBF will be delivered 3 months earlier. In December of this year.
Apologies if the question has already been asked and answered earlier. Are the factory new A320neo's equipped with larger hand-luggage bins which can accommodate cabin hand ...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future
For those saying that Brussels Airport doesn't care about its pax: another investment in passenger experience.
It is a genuine improvement over the current situation, although it should at the very least be covered throughout to protect passengers from the sunny Belgian weather.
Also, the ...

Sorry for a belated reaction. I am not on the forum every day, not due to lack of interest, but lack of time.
Why should LH be stopped and IAG or AF-KL not ?
AF-KL Holding owns two "mainstream" airlines, AF and KL, plus a (one or two) low cost airline, Transavia, plus a participation in SK.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2025
So why should LH be stopped and IAG or AF-KLM not?
Let'S see things as they are - in all regions the big 3 would be consolidators : in the Nordics i assume that Norwegian would land one day at IAG (they were already interested into it), AF-KLM has SAS, LH has Air Baltic, in the Western ...
