I just got a phonecall from my girlfriend. She's on flight TSC152 (Air Transat) from Montréal to Brussels. They more or less departed on time (9pm local time on 21/10/08) and flew for 2 hours heading for Brussels. Suddenly, after 2 hours, inside the plane it started to smell like burned rubber ...

Weather seems rather cloudy (and rainy) for that day, so I'm afraid it won't be a very bright day. But the sky is always clear above the clouds

Well, I already called for 2 seats. I will fly together with my grandmother who will fly for the first time in her life! For me it's the first flight this year. Only the flight of 8.30am is confirmed. I think Virgin waits to schedule extra flights to see first how well ticketing is going.

perhaps there are some restrictions to your reservation, f.e. if you have a special fare for -26. If it's an online booking, they can only check your date of birth at the check-in.

other possibility: tickets are not endorsable, so by putting your date of birth on the ticket, they're making it more ...

Are you flying a BA operated or an SN operated flight to LHR on the 21/08. The only reason I could see why the birthday is mentioned on the LHR ticket and not on the BCN one is that you fly BA to LHR. Maybe BA is doing this for everyone. :roll:
