All departed with huge delays (between 1 and 2 hours), just as some SN flights to Africa and a couple of America bound long hauls. I suppose this is not just coincidence but there was some issue ...

It was a "slotkeeper" for their unused slots at LHR for the TLV flights.
They won't return with those flights to BRU.

Re: BRU Summer 2026: news, new routes, airlines

A bit off topic but I didn't input the change of course :-)

I guess with Pier A West it would be possible to make the current T gates area permanently long-haul/non-Schengen for use by all Star Alliance airlines and dedicate pier B to all other carriers for long-haul/non-Schengen traffic.

The economic mission to Los Angeles and San Francisco will be from 4 till 12 October 2025. Also mobility is part of it.

The mission to Brazil brought nothing to BRU while many Belgian companies do excellent business there.

Mission to India so far nothing for BRU.
Belgian companies again ...

On Monday a flight to Cornwall is foreseen.

Yes they do actually...
789 yes
788 no...
It’s rare but they use them to BRU.

Looking at the schematics, it looks like the furthest narrowbody is blocked by the other one. How does pushback work then?

It's not blocked, pushback can be done as always.

There are two different types of MARS gates, both allow the choice between 1 wide body or 2 narrow body aircraft, but only one type allows using both bridges on a wide body.

So in Brussels there is no possibility to use 2 bridges for one plane?

Last Monday, Brussels Airport opened 4 new airbridges at Pier B. Those are called MARS, Multiple Aircraft Ramp
System.
This allows to handle 2 wide body, or 4 narrow body or 1 wide body and 2 narrow body at the same location.

This is a huge step forward in the connectivity and Hub functions of ...
