Re: Brussels Airlines in 2025
For me there is still a mystery here, how is it that this continues?
And you think daily reports (I hesitate to call it whining) about delays is how you'll get an answer. You and I agree anyone is free to contribute to a forum (subject to the owner's whims) but your contributions are... noise ...

1/ TUI is already selling packages with Ryanair flights is the UK and with Transavia in The Netherlands.
2/ TUIfly western region is not profitable and losses increased this year (up to June 2025). Other regions are profitable.
3/ Transavia opening a base in BRU next year
Not looking very good ...

Re: TUI Airline in 2025
What's the solution ?
More flights out of ANR ,
All 3 Emb295 all year round !
They are too stupid for that. They like to concentrate everything is Brussels where all the competition is.
Anyway I don't think the TUI Airlines will be around much longer. I expect them to be sold to Ryanair ...

and the program from Antwerp seems reduced to a one aircraft operation (only AGP, ALC, PMI and TFS). About the same as previous winter, I would think. If INN would not come back, then that would be a reduction. If I remember well LPA was already out of previous winter's schedule.
And don't forget ...

TUIfly Belgium in 2026
Last week they already made the Spanish destinations available for flight only bookings on their website.
Still early and things might still change, but at the moment it looks like there will no longer be flights from Liege (nothing available after March 2026) and the program from Antwerp seems ...

Re: BRU Summer 2025: news, new routes, airlines
One of the unserved destinations is Larnaca. 33.000 pax are currently traveling to Belgium via connecting flights.
Huge potential here. Not only holidays but second real estate and business
33k pax wouldn't even fill two weekly return flights (type A320 or 738) if you capture all those pax. No ...

Re: BRU Summer 2025: news, new routes, airlines
TUIfly needs to become profitable again. And to reach that they need to cut loss making destinations or reduce capacity just like any other airline.
It was hard for them to fill the Split flights from ANR. Two options: cancel the destination or reduce capacity. They opted to fly it in a triangle ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
I have been based in Lagos for six years. From my experience a lot of passengers and cargo, but low yield due to strong competition. And most passengers connect to the UK and US when arriving in Europe. On top of that it is very hard to get money out of Nigeria due to a shortage of USD. Probably ...

Moving away from seat only flights towards more holiday packages. This is more profitable for them and that's also their core business.

Re: 2023 Antwerp Airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news
What do you mean, 2 hours away ?
From where I live, it takes me 14 minutes longer to get to CRL than it takes me to get to ANR. That's a difference of 14 minutes, not 2 hours.
For those living in Antwerp, or north or east of the city CRL is not really an option.. ANR is super convenient ...
