It’s been some time now since they announced MRU. Also they mentioned they would like to start flights to the USA and Dutch Antilles. Anyone who knows more about this? Also this could be good for BRU to attract more Dutch passengers.

United just announced new long haul routes, also to Africa. If passengers can fly non stop between the US and Africa BRU won’t be needed anymore. Also last year people were pretty sure that United would launch flights between SFO and BRU. This was before

IndiGo and SpiceJet are again showing intrest in longhaul flights (USA and Europe). IndiGo mentioned Brussels in their plans for flights to Europe last year. They will most likely not open a route because of COVID-19, but can we at least expect Some renewed intrest from these carriers?
