Spotting places @ EHBK/MST

Hi all,

Next saturday, 21 january 2005, i will go to Aachen (Germany) for a new digital camera, on my way back I will stop in Beek/Maastricht.

Can someone give me advise about nice places around the airport?

What can be expected from a saturday at EHBK??

ATC mp3

Hi there,

I'm looking for ATC recordings on mp3. Does anyone know where I can find them on the internet, or does anyone have some recordings at home?? In first place I would like to find some recordings from EBBR or EHAM, but if these aren't available, any other will be fine.

Thanks ahead

Does anyone know what this is

Hi al,

A friend of me send me these pictures. He saw something strange in the sky when he was taking pictures on a wedding.

I think It's a plane with an engine problem, the picture was taken in Tielt near leuven.

Any info is welcome.

Me too. Although I 've never been to the Sandhills before. I usually go to 25L, at the road in Steenokkerzeel. Can you tell me how to get there ? Is it, coming from Steenokkerzeel centrum, passing under the tunnel and then somewhere to the right?

Thx.

Normally yes, but the tunnel is closed for a ...

If the info I have now is right, he will go to frankfurt, so he won't have that much fuel on board. So in my opinion, no prob for 25 L.

so, the guys who say that it will be melsbroek, are your sources reliable?
and the same quistion of course for the ones who say apron 3?

1. Melsbroek is NOT the destination of AF1. I know 100% sure that the arrival destination is EBBR (Brussels Int) and not EBMB (Melsbroek)

2. I can also confirm ...

About the runway, you're right, it can be any runway considering meteo, last decisions,... But the official destination is MELSBROEK, so normally traffic to MELSBROEK is coming in on 25R.

Thats absolutely right, but according to my source they will try to land on 25L and take taxiways C2 or C4 ...

The ETA you give is probably right, but the runway (as far as I know for the moment) will be 25 L. According to weather conditions of course.

As far as I know, the only reason why "the Beast" is started is very simple. It's going to be replaced to a parking further on the military airfield. Nothing more than that.

New update about the info I have "access" to.

Until today 18/02 there has been no request for parking space on the military airport and normally all the support material will arrive at ABELAG, so: there is a big chance AF1 will arrive at ABELAG. He also thinks AF1 will stay at ABELAG and NOT ...

As far as I known, all the traffic on the airport has to stop from the moment AF-1 is on final until he is parked.
