Re: Anomalies in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2021

It is not only a late departure. The aircraft actually had a technical problem. Fair point indeed. Technical problems like these can happen every now and then, statistically speaking in particular when coming from the factory or after maintenance. It isn't the first aircraft that sees its delivery ...

Boeing 737 MAX8 OO-TMZ already in the problems before being delivered to TUIfly Belgium? The delivery flight JAF981F returned to Boeing Field BFI: Don't you think that posting a delivery flight delay as anomaly is a little bit sensational? Not that it makes a lot of difference, but the maintained altitude on downwind was 3000ft AMSL and later on 2000ft AMSL for the intercept according to FR24 pressure altitude data.

LFMI/QIE is not in the FR24 database apparently, while EGVN/BZZ is. Maybe this could be the reason.

Re: BRU 02/02/2020

The aircraft could still be handled at EBBR while having destination EBMB. This has happened in the past already. That being said, I have my doubts as well. 9H-MIP is currently on its way to LFMI, no one here who could check if there is a flightplan filed for LFMI-EBMB already? The 12 Belgians from ...

Lucas probably wanted to refer to the semi-levered gear design on the main gears. An SLG basically has an additional hydraulic strut connecting the forward part of the main gear bogie and the vertical main gear strut. During takeoff this hydraulic strut locks the main gear bogie perpendicularly to t...

Re: The Airbus general technical questions topic

Ailerons raising after touchdown is indeed a newer feature. It came with the ELAC L97 software update. If the aircraft has ELAC computers with software version L97 or newer, it will feature this behaviour on touchdown.

Re: The Airbus general technical questions topic

When parked the A320 ailerons will be dropped down indeed as long as the hydraulic pressure in the Green and Blue hydraulic system is not sufficient to overcome them from dropping down due to gravity. A similar effect happens with the elevators, but in this case it's related to the pressure in the G...

No experience either. However, they don't need an approval from the authorities, provided that the land owner agrees and the departure spot fulfills the specifications described in the KB.

Good point about the checks and actions indeed, I guess it will remain a mystery

Wouldn't it just be cheaper and faster to depart in the port straight away instead of additional transport to a registered heliport?

So the departure could very well have taken place somwhere near the Berendrecht Lock indeed. According to ads-b data the last flight was on 8 May with destination Port of Montréal, it probably arrived in Antwerp via ship.

Re: Unknown from Antwerp harbour

In Belgium, aircraft (including helicopters) may only operate from registered aerodromes, as listed in the AIP. According to the 'koninklijk besluit' from 29 MAY 2013 ( NL / FR ) landing/departing outside aerodromes/heliports is allowed with a helicopter under certain conditions. Fyi C-GIRI is regi...
