Today. But the GAF data is wrong: 15+04 is NOT a C-130, but an A321ceo.

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
This week I was for the first time on one of the leased A222-300 of Air Baltic ... Nice experience, very professional crew, announcements (recorded) also in French and Dutch (véry Dutch :D ).
Cheers,
Danny
Indeed, my experience with BT wetlease flights is always a pleasant one. My only ...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future

Belgium in a nutshell. I would have been surprised if this one went down without small-minded regionalist tantrums...oldblueeyes wrote: 05 Nov 2024, 16:13 Instead of being happy to have such a strong branding both of the airline and of the country, you are running again in small-small regionalist fights.

I think we are not far away from each other
Neither do I think. I just merely clarified/corrected some historical facts.
- with tiny routes i was thinking of useless approaches eg flying into Baia Mare or not fucntioning JV's eg, not being able to fill together an AT42 on various regional ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
I usually agree with your analyses and find them well-reasoned - however, I have to correct some factual (historical) errors:
In the trial to build a national champion they acquired the already struggling Lauda Air , a company focused more on long haul leisure at that time (the 767 and 777 long ...

No matter who would get them, that brand has the chance of getting 40 brand new aircraft over 5 years. Additional upscaling of the order not considered.
Likely a decison would be taken in May 2025 just before the Annual General Meeting.

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Not really.
Typically not dedicated fleet is allocated 2 years in advance - so as an educated guess there would be a decision for 2026/27 max.
As approx 3/year are already planned for Swiss and Austrian shall become replacement for it's own six A321, if staying with Airbus. So around 5-7 ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
And it seems that the dumping of the Dash-8 "paid off" so much that OS is wetleasing two ATR72 from Braathens for the season... ;)
Which means nothing.
SN using the CRJ from a wet-lease airline this summer doesn't mean they regret their small(er) jumbolino's...
Maybe not and they are in ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
And the last tutboprops of OS were exchanged with 6 A320. For them it seems to pay off.
Sorry to correct a factual error: the 6 A320 were not meant as a replacement for the Dash-8, but for the phasing out of the A319 sub-fleet. The Dash-8 routes are mainly flown by the E195 - which is also much ...

Like Lux_avi rightly pointed it out : how sure can you be that workers from ground staff to pilots at other airlines will not go on strike (even at Ryanair) ? Without even mentioning ATC (and not in Belgium only). Perhaps the best option is to go on holidays somewhere reachable by car ?
Workers ...

I think I'll book my summer trip to Spain with Iberia or Vueling. I want peace of mind without the constant threat of strikes with SN. (it's really disastrous for their image but they don't seem to care, so be it)
Exactly. Now now it goes about ...

Any news on OO-SBC? I'm under the impression deliveries at SN seem to take longer than other airlines, but for sure I'm not an expert and probably wrong.
It was spotted end of January at TLS, already painted in the new "measles" livery of SN, however still wearing the test registration F-WWBP ...

Re: Strikes affecting Belgian airports in 2023
Self-declared "civil disobedience movement" Code Rouge is planning disruptions at airports in Belgium between 15-17 December 2023, probably peaking on 17 December. It's one of the groups showing little respect to laws, regulations, foreign property or aviation safety, recklessly pushing their agenda ...
