Re: Air Belgium in 2018

Russia gets a lot of money from overflying rights. Why would they refuse one more airline? Politics. It would be very typical of Russian diplomacy: if you kick our diplomats out of your country, we will do whatever we can to make your companies' life difficult when they want to deal with us. They d...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

Kanaal Z has an item about it in its daily news: it looks quite nice and the lounge is definitely much bigger than it used to be, which is a very good thing because the explosive growth of Brussels Airlines over the last few years ment that it was often quite full at peak moments the last year or s...

Re: BRU infrastructure: future

I was thinking whether I should participate in this discussion or not. Alas, as a passenger often having flown to and from BRU (and a planespotter using airport facilities to get some nice pics), I can only offer you my personal opinion from the pax' side (with an occasional insight offered by some ...

Re: Abnormalities in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2018

Yesterday (22.04.2018) flight DL80 ATL-BRU started squawking 7700 some 20 minutes before landing in BRU. There was quite a number of fire engines and other vehicles rushing around 25L with sirens and blue lights flashing and also a helicopter hovering around the Belgocontrol area. After the plane (B...

Being an old-fashioned guy (and quite bad at filming and editing films), I rather write down my experiences on flight KF340 last Saturday Superb report, Vic. I will advertise it on our Facebook page. So even if data on Seatguru would be incorrect and even if SN pitch and width is on par with TUI on long-haul...I think we can agree that AB 31" is really tight in Y for rather long flights... I can offer my personal impression rather than playing with numbers found on some websites: compared ...

Re: Air Belgium in 2018

Its amazing to me that they've found 500 paying volunteers for these flights. It shows that Belgium has a passion for aviation. Well done. I look forward to reading the TR's in the appropriate forum. To be honest, 25 EUR for this kind of special flight is a quite fine bargain. Had they demanded 250...

Re: Air Belgium in 2018

I suppose the rehearsal flights will be done by OO-ABB in that case. EDIT: same for me, unable to change seats but it seems they try to fill the window seats first and then work towards the middle. Was assigned a window seat as well, so I didn't have to change - especially as it is slightly behind ...

As does the BATC website. I guess unless the wind becomes significantly stiffer, 25L should remain the primary rwy for landings.

Asked the security agent. They say they are already working 2 hours over their normal shift. They say the airport didnt plan /order enough staff from the security company. Happened in DUS not so long ago: the security company did not care for their workers. And as the task was outsourced by the air...
