Re: BRU A380 ready in december, press briefing today about the A380?
I know there are none now, but why only one? If that one A380-gate has an issue, that's a problem for an A380. If there should ever be more than one A380 (one scheduled + one diversion?), that's a problem too, and if EK decides to schedule an A380, it limits the possibility for another airline in ...

Re: Diversions from around the globe (medical, technical, ...) 2017
Can you tell us on which flight you were rebooked and your delay on arrival in IAH compared to your initial schedule?
Sure!
We were notified when flying over Iceland safety is crucial and we would return because of the reasons I stated earlier.
Upon arrival FRA airport was quite chaotic, as all ...

LH440 returning
Oil leak in engine
Isn't that a long way to go with a leak in the engine, all the way from Iceland to Frankfurt? It's true that the A380 has four of them and can easily miss one...
Easier/faster* to bring back plane and repair in FRA.
I was on that flight :-(
Not to mention ...

Whilst some would give an arm and a leg to fly business class one day, you did a return flight without any purpose.CTBke wrote: 13 Jul 2017, 09:41 Thanks Andre, glad you like it ...
It was a return flight the same day indeed, spend my time in the lounge to wait for my return flight to Brussels.

Re: Brussels Airlines rewards scheme
yes but does M&M make sense if you're under 30 flights per year?sn26567 wrote: 01 Jul 2017, 09:59 You don't have to choose once for all. You can choose at each trip.
So my guess would be you have to make a choice at the start of the year and stick to it - if you want some benefit?

Brussels Airlines rewards scheme (Miles and More / Loop)
Hiya
I'm curious to discover what you think about M&M vs Loop. When to choose what?
In my mind: only if you are sure to take 30 flights or really long distances in 1 year M&M is a good choice, otherwise i'd go for loop.
Shame the M&M logic requires you to do it all in 1 year.

keep in mind that airplane design is not 2D but 3D (as it's mounted on a curving edge).

It's about time! Flying the Q400, what a nightmare !sn26567 wrote: 09 Jun 2017, 14:25 The Flybe contract with Brussels Airlines (wet-lease of two Q400s), which expires in October 2017, will not be extended.
I guess that the Q400-operated flights will be served by SSJ100s.

Yes exactly what I meant, it is no longer possible to go upstairs and visit the panoramadeck.BRUflyer wrote: 18 May 2017, 15:27. I heard the restaurant upstairs is now closed and replaced by one on the ground floor. Can you still go to the panoramadeck though?

Yep, some claim this is a "service improvement". I just hate it... Unfortunately... it's becoming the new standard... not just in Brussels and Charleroi, but everywhere...

Funny thing on the eGates: you step into the booth and it was not working. Police man was shouting several times: "number 6 please try again". When going out I had to tell him that from his side numbers are printed on the gates, but if you're inside the booth you don't know which number you are, so ...
