Re: Last A330-200 flight at SWISS

It will keep the Swiss registration for the moment. They will dry lease it from Swiss.
(Brussels Airlines pilots will fly it)
After the cabins of the FV,FW,FM,FN and FO are changed then they will change this machine
and lease it from a leasing company.

One B742 in at LGG, one (the tailstrike-one) is still at BRU.

The 2 brandnew B744 are re-registered to N-regs (OO-CBC became N384NC and OO-CBD became N385NY) and storage at Victorville, where I made these pictures ...

Re: 5th A330 for Brussels Airlines

The new interior of OO-SFV will be very "nice" . Businnes class will be equiped with the old Sabena seats (no flatbed). The same seats as used in the other 330's where not avalable. Takes 2 years to order them somebody of the company told me.

It's MSN 082 , ex Air Madrid ( EC-JTB) and flew till april 2006 with LTU.
It is a charter configuration and has about 350 seats.
Very small Galley's and no overheadbins in the middle. Also no construction to simply hang new ones. So they have to open the ceiling and make the construction. So its ...

The cause of the return to BRU was not a birdstike or flameout but an engine stall. This causes flames too. The engine was never shut down but you have to take power back to try to get rid off the stall.
