Are you sure? FLR is 1560m / 5118ft, ANR is 1510m / 4954ft. So it's a difference of less than 200ft, about 50 meters?

The only thing this airport needs, is a hub to a big airport with connections to other continents !
They did have that, until British Airways decided they needed a longer runway to lift more passengers per flight and turn a profit, and airport authorities did not agree (or maybe the ...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future

In all honesty, I do not know what NS's ICE Benelux plans are, but I do not expect a Dutch railway company to have a lot of consideration for BRU Airport. What are the managers of SN and BRU Airport doing, except sitting comfortably in their arm chair. OK, I am exagerating.
In the terms of BRU ...

Not so sure, I fly on regular basis to Cambodia and I miss the BRU-BKK flight. I always try to avoid multiple stops even in ME-3.
I prefer a flight of 10 hours, to rest.
Wel if SIA open a BRU-SIN, will surely fly with them. (BRU-BKK is way better but another history)

In de TIJD newspaper today, the CEO of SN complaints about the political unwillingness to connect BRU with the HST-network.

Hi,

Strange as you see... that RTM ( 3* daily ) and AMS ( BA+KLM) and LUX all got this connection...
Flights in ANR weren't that bad on the route ..
Even EIN has a 3* daily rotation to STN...
So nothing new for ANR is indeed strange...

BA with E175 even TUI with E190 could be working...
The ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2022

Intermodality is complex. For it to work efficiently and attract pax, you need to offer check-in at the point of departure (of the train to connect with a flight, and that, too, has a cost). Plus automatic transfer of baggage upon arrival (of the train) at the airport, to the flight. On the way ...
