Re: Non ETOPS / ETOPS Destination Alternate
This is mainly a fan and spotters forum, so you won’t get many answers to your question. It looks as if you’re a bit confused or looking to deep into things. Your departure A is just an airport like B,C,D, E, ... and can be considered as an alternate at any time before and during your flight, provid...

Sorry if I cannot do more, but I am almost single-handedly handling all the news on this website, and I also have a life next to aviation24.be Sorry Andre, you posted 13 other articles today from which one was about a steam train! Defending the indefensible proves there is more than what meets the ...

Very surprised to see not one mention of the strike going on today... Or did I miss something in another thread? Before any comments are made, could you first then - according to you - explain what is the correct procedure? NPA procedures depend on 2D or 3D approach, where from a procedural point of view we will also refer to DA (yet you mention MDA?) as they are CDFA based. Pure MDA is only used for ie circl...

Quite interesting bit in Swiss network expansion for summer 2022 : They will operate GVA-BRU on their own metal, competing with SN, and advertising it specifically together with JFK-GVA https://swiss.newsmarket.com/english/press-releases/swiss-further-expands-its-network-for-summer-2022-and-offers-...

Re: Strikes affecting Belgian airports in 2021
Most of the time I understand and even support strikes, but in the middle of a pandemic with the possibility of a new, very infectious variant, developing, I don’t think anything can justify a strike. Any action that brings more people together than absolutely necessary will lead to more infections,...

If you look at this from this side, and yesterday also during the presentation, it is visible that the Belgian flag is up side down, red/yellow/black. I know why, bcs it works like a mirror, but in fact it is absolutely not correct This is ABSOLUTELY correct! The way Air Belgium paints it is absolu...

Bought a ticket for 75€, flight cancelled, never received a refund, tried to rebook for same route, website price 69€, after 15 minutes on the phone, quoted by call center: 81€ rebooking cost.

Honestly? Seriously?
Whilst customers are waiting, more than a year, to get their money back, their airline is spending money on rebranding for the 4th or 5th time... You couldn’t make it up, could you?

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2021
Pilot are trained to fly OR a330, OR a320's. You cannot just swap them. For cabin crew, we are all trained on a320 but not everyone fly a330. Beside the certification there are more complex mater in term of rostering. If a crew was suppose to fly in the morning, you can't simply reroster them in th...

Re: booked a flight, not sure if I will arrive back home
Did you buy the trip as one ticket or separate ones?
I don’t see FR offering tickets from AMM to CRL, it looks like you bought two separate tickets hence why they only have to reroute/refund the AMM-BLQ leg.

Re: PSG star team lands at Ostend-Bruges Airport for tonight’s game against Club Brugge, but was this charter necessary?
It’s exactly these kind of flights which give aviation a bad image. Boarding 30 min, flight 45 minutes, get into the bus 30 minutes, bus trip to the hotel 30 min in total 2h15 minutes to avoid a bus trip of 3h30 minutes. It’s nothing else than exaggerating to impress and self-worship. These flights,...

Certainly possible, maybe likely by absolutely NOT more than likely.
There are several other abnormalities which require a descent.
Can we please stop jumping to false conclusions after every single diversion, please???

If they succeed to do so the EU has no advantage anymore! I hope it will not be possible or the UK will win on all battles! If ITA, Alitalia or whatever they are called these days think they can make money on the route the exemption will, probably, be granted and British airlines will automatically...

All flights between LIN and the UK will stop from 31/10/2021. LIN is only permitted to handle flights within the EU so post-Brexit... This will affect AI and BA to LCY and LHR also U2 to LGW Hi, I've been trying to search the news for confirmation of this, but I can't find anything. Would you mind ...
