Re: Anomalies in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2022
Yesterday afternoon I was in Brussels and I noticed a Azul A330 descenting into BRU. Checked FR24 and saw that there are scheduled arrivals and departures to Campinas each of the following days. Exited as I was (finaly a direct link with the homeland for the Brazilian community in Belgium??), went t...

Re: Social actions at air navigation service provider skeyes (Belgium) - possible air traffic disruptions
It is an autonomous public enterprise which more or less fulfills its reason for being towards the public ... they have gone mad Sir, in its particular circumstances ... Should we not entrust this mission to the Dutch, French or Germans. And close Skeyes. Their monopoly should be broken at least. C...

Well... by coincidence a similar case became a hot news item in (Flemish) Belgium recently.

@Sonho1985 : sarcastically, I would say : hope that you will not be able to go to Brazil ! Do you know what the situation is like over threre at the moment (and it won't change for the better in the coming months ; I would not even exclude a military coup). Bolsonaro's Brazil is not pre Bolsonaro B...

Re: Impact of the coronavirus crisis on aviation
TAP Air Portugal will not get any more state funds without giving up more control to the government as the carrier is “technically bankrupt”. How bad is 'technically bankrupt'? I bought tickets, and I know that the chance that we'll go to Brazil at the end of July is... ahm... pretty small, but on ...

Try to go to Bru with heavy luggage from Ottignies (not a small station) No direct link. same for other parts of Belgium. Many points to review : lines, station, .... - no storage for bigger pieces of luggage in train cabins (overhead racks are made for small bags only, so the only solution is put ...

The very first NEO has been delivered to TAP today, so it's ready to enter into service. Not yet ready to enter into service. First it will undergo real life reliability tests: https://www.aviation24.be/manufacturers/airbus/airbus-a330neo-en-route-to-function-reliability-tests/ They can test it wit...

Re: What is the weirdest airport you've flown from?
Mumbai (BOM) seems to be a little odd surrounded by slums. Ok, I saw it before in latin American cities, but in BOM those houses are really close to the airport fence. Als uncommon and unlogical that there is another airport (Juhu Executive) literally right across the street, at the end of the busie...

Re: BRU - Long haul & intercontinental in the medium-long term
These are only potential routes, not based on any rumours or anything but more which routes/airlines BRU should have in a couple of years: USA : - LAX: by SN Africa : - JNB: by SN Sadly SN doesn't have a plane to fly these routes, nor will the planned new-old A330's be able to. Thus not likely in a...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
If they were fitted with proper business class, they could be an interesting substitute (economics to be checked of course) for A320s on medium haul destinations such as TLV, DMD, the Canaries, Funchal, in addition to US/Canada East coast and West Africa, and maybe to open a couple of destinations ...

My first experience at the Paris Air Show, I went with my wife and kids on the public day (Saturday). Overall dissapointing, not what I expected. Not a single Boeing aircraft to display, they all left on Friday. Airbus only had the A380 left, while there was announced the also the 321NEO and 350 wou...

Re: Diversions from around the globe (medical, technical, ...) 2017
A Kalitta 744 flew extremely low over my back yard (north side of Aalst) some 15 minutes ago. The are days (wind direction, spreading plans... ?) that this location is a busy turning point for planes approaching BRU (like it 8-) ). But this one was way lower (too low IMO) than the others, about max....

Re: BRU infrastructure: future
Why don't they put it on the Grand Place of Brussels? Better bring your hiking shoes when flying from BRU... Or take the train to BRU, one of the rare airport having the train station underground, so that you don't have to walk so much :-) Night trains and some luggage compartments (not the tiny ov...
