Re: Air France: war between management and pilots

Air France personal should take a look at what there American colleagues did in the past.
They gave back a lot of there salary to safe there airlines with a formal promise that, when things would be better, they would have a share in it. this was done with a minimum of dismissals....
And it worked ...

Re: Possible strike at Belgocontrol on 25 June

I can understand that the people from Belgocontrol have had enough from, political, leaders, I understand that but you have to understand also that this does more economical damage than serve it's purpose..

It's those leaders you have to try to hit and not the passengers and the cargo coming in and ...

Re: Cross country flying

Thanks again for this...

So actually, if you are not doing touch-and-go's, and go on some training flight or anything else, it is considered a cross country flight...

That could work..

Re: Cross country flying

First off all, if you want to upgrade your CPL to an ATPL you have to have certain flying hours of which 1500hrs total time, 250hrs PIC and 200hrs cross country...

Now, I am NOT talking about flying just in Belgium, I am talking about a Belgian license!!!!

So, what I need is the exact deifinition ...

Re: Hazardous effect of laser pens

Turning off light might seems like a solution but when you are in the ost critical phase off your flight, you are not going to do this....

A special layer on the windscreen would be a solution but this will cost money and windscreens are not cheap at this moment, the companies wouldn't be happy ...

Re: Hazardous effect of laser pens

People get caught because pilots make report to the tower and can, very precise, say at which altitude, bearing they had the attack..
If enough pilots make the same report, than the police can look even closer to where it comes from..

Most of the time it is young people having fun but don't realise ...

Re: Hazardous effect of laser pens

Once, this laser hit me right in the eyes!!
at that moment you really lose your bearings and you are, just for one seccond ...
