Re: Ryanair at Brussels Airport
Because of all the base changing going on all over the network it seems that very few of the based pilots still have grandfather rights
Sean 1982, can you give some more info on this?
Do you mean that almost all pilots had their base changed and as such had to relocate families and housing?
Or ...

Sean 1982,
There is never a reason to respond in the way you do.
All it does is , is showing how you truly are.

Re: Ryanair at Brussels Airport
Ok sean 1982,
Thank you for responding in this mature way.
What about the other 90% still in their base? They still have an unfair fiscal system.
Do you know what happens with the floating contracts , regarding fiscal system?

Re: Ryanair at Brussels Airport
That is only valid for new entries.
99% of ryanair pilots have grandfather rules for next 8 years.
Not to mention the floating base contract guys.

Re: Ryanair at Brussels Airport
Hi teddybair,
I have no problem with business model of ryanair, i agree it works for the ones looking for cheap, cheap, cheap.
I have a problem with the unfair fiscal system which they make use of. Unchanged by EU.
I wonder how EU will react with the 15 million state aid to brussels airlines ...

Re: Ryanair at Brussels Airport
Sean 1982,
I wonder, a taxi from ostend to charleroi costs 70€ and a flight from charleroi to rome costs 70€ .
Is the taxi too expensive or the flight too cheap?
I think the flight is too cheap. And in the end this paid by subsidising ryanair ( or even brussels airlines now). Paid by taxes. By you ...

Re: Ryanair at Brussels Airport
What strikes me is that people expect to fly almost for free.
In the longterm , those low prices are not sustainable.
Ever considered thinking which price would be a fair, logical one on a trip?
Flying to FCO in 2 hours for 70€ ....if you would take your own car , you would not be able to pass ...

Re: Ryanair at Brussels Airport
For sure, they can and will hurt brussels airlines.
But consider this,
Why do they change their present ultra-low-fare cost into something more hybrid?
Because ryanair has reached the limit of their ultra-low-fare cost model.
Now they choose to go for another business model , i.e. More easyjet ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' third US destination
Having had so much technical problems last few weeks makes me think if we can "uberhaupt" keep ETOPS.
We need lufthansa's help to grow.

Re: Brussels Airlines website
I am interested in booking a flight BRU-olbia. On the brussels airlines website it is indicated as being a destination , but when looking for flights , there are none available. Does anyone know WHEN brussels airlines decides to have flights available?
