Re: SN made a net profit over 2010, according 'De Tijd'

If you've transported more passengers (even though you've also increased capacity) and you've also improved your result while operating the same fleet as before, knowing costs must have risen significantly, somehow YIELD must have gone up too and by even more, which is what ultimately this is all ...

Re: SN made a net profit over 2010, according 'De Tijd'

What is your point? Does that typing mistake change that much to the point being made?
I believe not. It only makes you mad because you're a big E-Jets advocate and that that article proves that you're not such a good armchair CEO after all.

Do you realize that what you write however, doesn't make ...

Re: Replacement of SN's Avro RJ and B737 fleet

I live in Bruges and I am by car at my appointment in Rotterdam in 2.5 hours ( OK, if the Van Brienoordbridge is't blocked) and at Amsterdam in +- 3 hours. Comparison: It takes me 1.15 H to get from my home into the parking lot of BRU. Check inn at least 1 hour before departure. 50 minutes flight ...

Re: BeOnTop Airlines - Liège Airport

I have seen none of that knowledge being shared anywhere on this forum.
Most of your comments are bashes at other people, so I do not believe that you deserve any pity.

As to aerospace parts manufacturing, it's very far from anything of the actual aviation world.
You manufacture parts and ...

Re: Replacement of SN's Avro RJ and B737 fleet

Seriously, GLA? Even Ryanair pulled the route from CRL to Prestwick several seasons ago.
Tell the world what the business case is for a daily RJ85 flight to GLA, I'm curious.

I have no info but my guess is that some RJ85's will be kept to rotate as spare aircraft and as capacity boosters to operate ...

Re: BeOnTop Airlines - Liège Airport

Not quite as impossible as you suggest, cnc, IMO.
Most airlines haven't been built in one day and funding can be found if the idea is right.

A B777-300's hold has the ability to take 44 LD3's + 15m³ of bulk in terms of volume. 60% of that would already be filled by pax luggage, so if you put the ...

Re: BeOnTop Airlines - Liège Airport

Forget about Regi. He sells aircraft parts and thinks that the CEO has to sign the release papers every time a mechanic installs his parts... talk about lack of knowledge of his own industry.
Like Tolipanebas, who thinks that anti-ice has to be diluted before putting them on the trucks and that type ...

Re: BeOnTop Airlines - Liège Airport

NCB thinks that there is no potential for A318 flights from Liege.
Even a Fokker 50 would be challenging to fill, a reverse hub system is impossible for the cities mentioned and Emirates will not be interested in Liege. Yield calculators are great but RASM is unpredictable compared to CASM.
Just ...
