This summer S26, there will be 11 A330 in ops.
In S27 there will be 13 A330 in the fleet but the flight planning will be with 12 aircraft only as the 13th will replace the 5 aircaft going in retrofit the one after the other for a period of one year.
In S28 there will be 13 A330 in ops.
I guess ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
From the last info I got the final choice will be 787-9 or A350-900. The A330-900 is now out of the discussion. The delivery should start from 2032 which coïncides quite well with this order.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2026
It's easy to say that other are making mistakes - but what if ITA would look more towards Africa and prove that they can do it better?
There was an article in Corriere della Sera in which CEO Eberhart stated that the flights to DKR and ACC, operated by an A321LR, were not performing as expected ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
On a sidenote, after retrofit, Brussels Airlines and Discover will share the same cabin. I would then not be surprise that a few A330’s from Discover could join Brussels Airlines for an expansion as from S28 by waiting the new gen aircraft as Discover Will replace them with A350’s. Those A330’s are ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
There were some rumours that LH would order soon some additional planes, likely widebodies, and depending on which manufacturer and model would get new orders we may see a tendency forward.
There is more than rumour. Carsten Sporr was even is Seattle 2 weeks ago :-)
At the moment the choice ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
There’s no question that the fleet is growing, but it just seems as though, in the longhaul, there’s no real strategy and/or it’s being held back...
The strategy is quiet clear… Connect North America and Africa via via Brussels with the help of the joint venture. Air Canada/United/Brussels ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Post-covid the fleet consisted of:
30 A319/A320
8 A330
In S27, it should be:
37 A319/A320/A320neo(13)
13 A330
4 A220 on wetlease
Whatever what people say the fleet is growing. Maybe not as fast as some people would like but Brussels Airlines is far to be stand still.

Beside the type of aircraft, 787, A350 or A330neo (yes he is back in the game), what would be interesting is how many frame will be ordered, hopefully 15

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2026
I saw in the "bad" pub of SN on Facebook...3 flights to Paris CDG...it's a good growth...only for connection I know...When will it begin ?
Can't find anything related to that.
I never understood why they didn't choose Orly; it's so much easier to use. And closer to the city?
Because ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2026
New Belgian icon will be revealed on the 12th of February according to flightlevel.be.
Looking forward to see it!
Which aircraft will be repainted?
I think only OO-SNJ is still wearing the "old" livery with the dotted b-tail?
Or will it be an A330? OO-SFD, SFF and SFG? Would be nice to see an ...

SN already mentioned they will be flying to Kilimanjaro next summer.
But... When will they announce the additions to the European network? If there will be any at least.
Of course there is an expansion, and it has been already announced.
On the short/medium haul sector:
-17 extra weekly ...

The only potential routes I could see the A321LR/XLR from Bru would be flight with low demand in cargo, basically long haul leisure routes like Cancun, Punta Cana, Miami, Mombasa or Zanzibar for the actual network the A321LR/XLR is just a pure non sense.
Why not Luanda ?
Because you could ...
