In addition to the BRU infrastructure topic I was wondering why Brussels Airlines doesn’t start a real evening wave for their long haul flights. I don’t work in the industry so don’t shoot if this is a bad idea 😊
SN is growing every year with an extra 330, mostly to destinations in Africa. They rely ...

Re: Possible merger between SAS and Finnair?
I think this would be a verry bad idea: within SAS there are already lots of discussions going on between the governements of the countries involved. This would add a country more, so four countries for one airline without a clear 'leader'. (and of course even more unions)

Hi Established,
as always nice pics, but where were you standing to see the United and air Canada? This must be the other side of the B-terminal, right?

Re: Future of Jet Airways in BRU!
It is also rumoured that the Toronto flight will be axed. On the indian aviation forum it seems confirmed that the BOM-EWR flight will be operated with the new A333 (first route) as soon as Jet received them, but I don't know if this plane wiil replace the A332 or the B777 (or both). So, capacity ...

Re: Air India: "Jet Airways may join Star Alliance too"
Actually it doesn't bother me anymore wether 9W move their hub to Germany or not: there's not much left of the hub anymore, and I still think that in every case they will keep the BOM flight, and maybe the DEL flight too.

Look at the "Replacement of 737 and Avro" topic...BTW, has anybody noticed the incredible high number of hits this topic has gathered?
More than 100,000! Surely that must be a record for this site?

Interesting topic to follow, as I'm going to Hong Kong too for 8 days at the end of march.
@Andorra-airport: it's a family trip and we promised the kids to go to Disneyland there, so there's no way back anymore. Is it better to order the tickets in advance by internet or can we just go there ...

Re: Which carrier to KTM (Kathmandu)?
The terminals in DEL are all renewed now, they're as good as a "normal" terminal in europe now, easy to use.
BUT: since you're in India be sure you have enough time to connect, changing terminals or not.
One thing I haven't tought about: checking out and back in for a LCC, another terminal or not ...

Re: which carrier to KTM?
I'd suggest you second option: fly to DEL (lots of flights and competition) and take a LCC there. Spicejet has just started to fly to KTM or will be shortly. I flew them 3 years ago (DEL-Srinagar and Srinagar-Jammu) and they are not bad at all: easy internet booking, check-in no problem, flight OK ...

SN evening long haul flights ever possible?
At present SN operates a european network in a few waves troughout the whole day. The african flights are all arriving in the morning and departing early afternoon. These african flights are offcourse also filled with connecting european pax (besides NA and belgian pax). This means logically that ...

Re: Where will you fly in 2012?
2012 is planned now:
30/3 LH BRU-FRA-HKG B744
8/4 LH HKG-FRA-BRU B744
7/7 OS BRU-VIE-BKK B772
20/7 OS BKK-VIE-BRU B772
I was hoping to fly the B748i to HKG (as rumoured to be one of the first destinations of this new plane), but unfortunately this is a little bit too early I think.
Greetz.

Re: Thai to serve BRU as from next fall!
I still hope for an afternoon arrival: enough connections EU and maybe in the (not so distant) future SN-connections to the US. I doubt the thai-AFI traffic is going trough BRU (if possible) and not via the ME-carriers, but who knows the loyal STAR-travellers?
