Re: BRU 29/10/2025
Seems like the morning run to Frankfurt (BEL8QB - SN2607) is being flown on A330 today (OO-SFG). Is there any special event which requires this capacity or is there another reason? Training flights?

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future
There was a time you could only have respect for the gendarmes and police.
Now they really have become spoiled third degree civil servants. Now they have new offices in the satellite, other facilities. They are around 500 "working" at BRU.
Many look like zombies bcs the heavy work.
Making PAX ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2024
Probably en route with a tech stop in Abu Dhabi for maintenance in Manila.
OO-SFJ has been in Manila since Oct 27th, so it would make sense the maintenance in SFJ is just about complete.

OO-ETA is parked close to the satellite, with at least engine 2 missing. Probably a continuation of the P&W misery.

Re: TUI Airline in 2024
Engine issues, presumably. I saw it in the vicinity of Hangar 40 a few days ago with the #2 engine missing and the nacelle etc. taped up.
Though I don’t know anything about the exact nature of the issue(-s).

Any clue as to why these are at EBMB? A few days ago I spotted N992BA, which is the former CH-05, now N993BA (former CH-07) joins the club.

Re: Airline bankruptcies, ceased operations, restructurations
I highly doubt HB-JJE will ever take to the sky again. Seen the state it’s in, and the notification circulating on social media that it is to be broken up at EBBR quite soon. Perhaps they are talking about the other 757 (former HB-JJD)? As far as I can tell it should be stored at Brazzaville, but I ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
It seems to be located on a remote platform, not at the Delivery Center. I guess if we spot it moving there, chances are that’ll be an indication the flight to BRU will occur soon-ish.

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Have you done the calculations on that, or is it just a guess?
People who have done the calculations don’t seem to agree with your statements that it’s “much more” than 1%.

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
It may not be the youngest machine, but for the cabin that probably hardly matters. Going by airfleets.net it was reactivated for Lufthansa (in the new colour scheme) in April 2022 after being stored in June 2021. I would be surprised if it didn’t receive at least a refreshed cabin in that time ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2023
On the first part of your question:
Because a slot can (and often does) improve at any point. If your slot suddenly jumps from two hours in the future to “you have to be airborne in 20 minutes or you miss your slot”, then you simply don’t have time to allow the passengers to wait in the terminal ...

Re: Anomalies in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2023
Yesterday, July 4th, OO-ETA, an Embraer E295, performing flight TB1104 (JAF6AC), from ALC to ANR diverted to BRU for unknown reasons.
It seems the decision was made early on to divert, since an approach at ANR was not performed.
The aircraft in question flew BRU-ANR after a little more than one hour ...

Could those be AAE instead of AEE? It would seem strange, though certainly not impossible in this economy, for Aegean to start operating cargo flights?

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
One of the 330's is missing the left winglet, any news (cause, expected repair time) on this anyone?
Are you sure it’s the lefthand winglet? Currently OO-SFE is flying around with the righthand winglet missing. BEL may have had some bad luck and have/had two stricken birds, of course.
Update: I ...

Out of curiosity:
Anybody with an idea as to why OE-LFC is currently taxiing out as ABB815P for a ferry flight to LFLX-Chateauroux? Crew training flights seem to have taken place with an ABBxxxT callsign in the past?

This morning Surinam flight SLM994 diverted from EHAM to EBBR after quite some holding over the Netherlands, more than likely weather related.
