The city council have agreed on the location, but are still looking for extra money. "It's the layout of the site which is very expensive. We need to ensure security, controls, etc. All that takes much money, " said the councillor in charge of Environment.

Re: SN starts daily bus link between AMS, RTM and BRU
The timings are very bad. Only if you live in Amsterdam or Rotterdam it's worthwhile. However, I reckon that SN realises that if it want to tap into the Amsterdam - Accra (and the rest of Africa) market is has to offer their pax a connection to/from Brussels. If I'm not mistaken SN tried this ...

B.light and B.flex were so-so, now we have disaster on "C".
I have flown a few times with B.light, without any regrets. And although I never booked B.flex, I have considered it every time, having been very close to book it once. For me they can stay as they are now!
Marketing? One of SN's ...

I never understood why mineral water was banned as well... You can't imagine how frustrating it is...
Is there any liquid explosive that is even liquid ans smell less as water?
And btw, since then I never bought one of those expensive bottle of water in the shop...

What are your thoughts about it?

On the RTBF news, they said the same about the destination: left for Dakar!
They showed the first "communication" of De Crem, this morning, where he told the plane was "mis à disposition" of SN (which means "free use" in French), followed by a second, later on the day, where he confirms that ...

Breaking news from BBC:
UK Airspace will open gradual starting at 2200BST (2300CET)... It seems that BA has won the clash with NATS
Does this means the 2 planes diverted to BRU will continue to London immediately?
I think that lots of people would like them on pic ;)

In the past few days, airlines lost alot of very important revenue from one of the busiest and best yielding periods of the year, revenue they needed badly to cover the very hard winter they are leaving ...

Re: Flights cancelled due to volcanic ash cloud from Iceland
Hi,
Cheering everything is okay with a few testflights (tolipane) again and again don't do if
there just landed an F16 with glass in the jet engine.
Bad luck ! (some people just hear what they wanted to hear ).
Hope there's quick a positive change and results of an examination of standards.

Re: Flights cancelled due to volcanic ash cloud from Iceland
I will probably be wrong, but there are reports of ash damage on a F16, on Finnish F18, but not on a single commercial plane, while several ferry flights have been or are operated right now.
Are military jets more sensible to ash, or is it just bad luck?

At which flight level are those ferry flights operated?
And if it is at a low, safe level, why not use them to bring back some stranded passengers?

Another question, how are the crew members, which are stuck abroad, payed for that wasted time? Do they get 100%, or is it less?
Anyway, in BRU, I saw a Delta, but what are the foreign planes stuck here?

Re: Flights cancelled due to volcanic ash cloud from Iceland
Why do cars, vans, coaches, trucks, diesel trains, boats have to pay taxes on fuel, but planes don't have to??
That's a big help enough in my opinion...
There's no VAT on the fuel of planes on INTERNATIONAL flights, because airlines are charged significant sums for overflight rights by each ...
