That is more an Antwerp destination than Ostend :) I heard one can even have the famous Antwerp Bolleke (De Koninck) beer in SPB ... on draught! Unfortunately, Pobeda only operate B737s, too big for the Antwerp runway ...

According to the ASA website VLM is to cease the scheduled flights between Antwerpen and Geneva (mid Fedruary) and Birmingham (mid March).

When leaving ANR for SEN yesterday morning we got this nice (partial) view of the "tunnel works".

Not only at arrival in Deurne but also at departure in the morning we got the water salute :

A Belgian Air Force F-16 pilot , who escorted Air Force One at the time when President Bush arrived in Brussels to attend a NATO meeting, told me that they were not allowed to carry any sort of weaponry !!!

- free parking
- no congestion …
- swift check-in ( no checked baggage ! )
- no lines at security check-point
- pax from Brussels – as well as from other ‘remote’ areas - might consider taking the the train to Berchem Railway Station. Pick-up from the railway ...
