Quite often when I work on the A330 there are always a few pax asking when SN will consider flying to BEY...(Africa--BEY via BRU)
However those pax also know the competition (Etihad, Emirates, RAM and Afriqiya) with very smooth connections, so I've been told.
And AF goes there with B773 and A332 ...

This A/C started his career at Sabena as OO-SFU , maybe it will receive again an OO- registration

Re: Sabena or not...
There is no need to rebrand the name of Brussels Airlines, because nowadays Africans don't use the name sabena any longer. I never heared the name sabena popping up in the last 14 months that I fly to Africa 2/4 times a month. You can only spot the name on your invoice of a former sabena hotel ...

On United Airlines, it is not difficult to spot those who have started their carreer with Pan Am and through acquisitions are still working today with United. I rather have them on board than those who have started their carreer with Virgin and are now working on Brussels Airlines.

And no Combi's.
Only true at first glance. Originally, 7 frames D-ABTA..F+H have been built and deliverd as 747-430M. They have been flying around in all-passenger configurations for some years now, but actually they are combis.
OK, thanks for that info; I was not aware of this ... but would it ...

Ofcourse I will still fly Kenya Airways. They seem perfectly safe to me and I find them even better than most European carriers.

LH flies to Accra, Abuja, Lagos, Port Hacourt, Malabo, Luanda, Karthoum,Asmara, Addis Abeba and Cairo with A333's and also to Capetown and J'bourg with other equipment.
I put my bet on Accra and Nigerian destinations.
There are also rumours about SN going to YUL and BOS, any more news about that?

How on earth is it possible that AZ still flies around, as the CAI investors haven't invested yet. A month ago there was no money left for keeping the company flying, so where do they get the money from to bridge this period before CAI take over.

seeing the number of code-share they started, and finished sometimes very very soon, I see only confirmation of my standpoint that SN has no real management, no real business plan, ...and is no longer growing because of that.

Why is SN not code sharing with BD to LHR, BD's main base in the UK. This does not make any sence at all.
