Re: Cargo B financial woes ?
I've seen many companies coming and going. The laws and regs are the same for all. A company can only be as good as their managers. Investors are only interested in numbers. If they're not right - they often even pay more to eject to prevent loosing it all. Some good points posted here earlier. We w...

Re: B747-200 for backpackers
Very nice. Good idea. Would be a business opportunity for BRU as well as the broken 747-200 from cargob is available for conversion into a hotel as well.

Re: Cargo B Tailstrike
True. An official report by the BCAA should be published soon. This event is now treated as an accident rather than 'only' an incident.

Re: Pictures of first B747-400F for Cargo B
Wow, a censored post on a public forum in the year 2008.
I was just trying to share some true infos from a well informed source.
Appologies if this did touch somebodies nerves - somehow proves a point, doesn't it ?

Re: Cargo B Tailstrike
You are discussing if it is legal or not to take pictures on the apron. I heard today from a friend who is a pilot that this airplane almost crashed. According to him far more serious than just the initially reported tailstrike only. If this really would have been the case we all would have seen mor...

Re: Cargo B Tailstrike
LX-LGX, 20m is somewhat only pocket money in the airline industry. They had this amount 1.5 years ago and with only one plane instead of three I don't think they where able to make that much money. Investors are only (re)investing if they see a chance for good returns. New partners from Asia will al...

Re: Cargo B Tailstrike
Of course it could be repaired. BUT it woud be very expensive indeed and cargob indicated that the plan was to return this plane to the leasing company soon with the arrival of that overrated -400. So a return to service is very unlikely keeping in mind the financial troubles that cargob had (still ...

Re: Cargo B Tailstrike
Maybe the BCAA will grant Cargob to operate it the way it is now
Seriously, good thing is that nobody got hurt or injured. Good thing for cargob is that the insurance will most likely pay for an airplane that would have been phased out in December anyways.

They also mentioned pilots being send home.
But I didn't hear the whole conversation.

Re: Cargo B Airlines: aircraft in maintenance
I overheard a conversation of a cargob crew outside the crew center talking about crews being made redundant and some being fired already. Seems to be odd if they get more airplanes.
