KLM, NWA (and Continental) joined Skyteam on the exact same day!
They're very much in the same alliance, together with Air France, KLM's main share holder.

A quick search revealed :

1. that Delta used indeed to fly 3 times a week from JFK to Cairo with their own aircraft.
Service discontinued following 9/11 (destination still served using AF codeshare)

2. that TWA also used to fly LAX-JFK-Cairo

3. that DKR would replace Sal as fuelling stop on the ...

I'll stand corrected but I'm quite sure that Delta used to fly to Cairo with their own metal just a couple of years ago...

They also code share with Royal Air Maroc to Casablanca and of course they use their Skyteam partners to code share to many other African destinations.

More than "new ...

PrivatAir seems to be doing well...

I've had the chance to fly 3 times with them from Dusseldorf and they offer a very convenient product.
And apparently flights from DUS, MUC and ZRH have good load factors, so AMS should do ok too...

MaxJet Airways also started their one-class (C) service ...

And could a 330 fully loaded fly nonstop from JNB to BRU?

Didn't I read somewhere on these forums that both Swiss and Iberia were going back to offering light snacks for free?
Same thing is happening in the US were more and more airlines stop charging for food as sales didn't meet targets...

Funny how points of view or experiences can vary...
I will agree that Delta's fleet needs some serious upgrade and renewal but I only ever had extremely nice, friendly and professional crews on int'l flights. Domestic legs can be quite different IMO.

Maybe we can find the solution in the new winterbrochures. If there are some new far destinations we get the answer. But it's still a rumour, for so far no futher news of new destinations or airplanes on the site of Jetair.

You book your package vacations with Jetair or VIP Selection and you might end up on a Futura plane iso TUI Airlines...
You book with Thomas Cook or Pegase and you could find yourself on board Martinair or EuroAtlantic iso their own ...
